Turkiye &
Turkish Security Market
Turkiye1. Culture:
Turkish Culture is unique in the world in that it has influenced and has been influenced in return by cultures and civilizations from China to Vienna and from Russian steps to North Africa for over a millennia.
1. Culture: Turkish culture reflects this unparalleled cultural richness and diversity, and remains mostly shaped by its deep roots in Middle East, Anatolia and Balkans, the cradle of many civilizations for at least twelve thousand years.

2. History: Turkey's first known human inhabitants appeared in the Mediterranean region as early as 7500 BC and it has been ruled through the centuries by diverse cultures including the sun-worshiping Hittites, the Greeks who drove out the gentle Persians (who then migrated to India), and the Byzantines including Constantine.
2. History: By 1453, the Ottomans under Mehmet the Conqueror had taken over Constantinople.
The Ottoman Sultanate lasted till the War of Independence in 1920-22 led by Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk or Father Turk). Kemal abolished the Sultanate and set about reinventing Turkish society and this is considered the birth of the Turkish Republic.
Turkiye
Under Ataturk, Turkey went through a period of reform and secularism was strongly instituted into the constitution as well as in the fabric of society. Constantinople became Istanbul and women obtained the right to vote. Even today, Atatürk remains a hero in Turkey.

3. Society: Turkish people are mid Asia oriented. They have
lived in tents and were nomads. In the history they have spread to all over the world from central Asia, where most settled in caucasia and Anatolia from the 10th century A.D.on. This moving characteristic created some peculiarities that are exclusively Turkish.
Turkiye
The two characteristic trades of the Turkish people are Hospitality and closed family relations...
Hospitality is one of the cornerstones of the Turkish way of life. Turkish people are the most gracious and generous hosts as a result of their natural instincts.
Family Relations are very closed within Turks. They respect their elder and support each other in every way. Fathers and Mothers do support their children financially.
Economy
Turkiye has the 16th largest economy in the world and 6th in all Europe.
The world's first ever global financial crisis that emerged in the US in the last quarter of 2008 had a negative impact on the rest of the world, including Turkiye, in the couse of time.
The uninterrupted, rapid growth continuing since 2002 came to a standstill in 2009. Turkiye's increasing economic integration with the rest of the world, which was one of the factors behind this rapid growth, has now ranked our country among those which have been hit hard by the global financial crisis.
Economy
On the other hand, the global crisis has not changed Turkiye's strong position in the world and region. Turkey, which has become the 16th largest economy in the world and 6th in all Europe due simply to its entrepreneurs, qualified workforceand young, dynamic populationi without using any natural resource or freign financial support, is capable of surviving this crisis.
Economy
At the IMF-World Bank annual conference held in Istanbul in October 2009, it was argued that Turkey and South Africa would both be touted among the “core countries” of the G-20 countries, along with Brazil, Russia, China and India, which would play a more active role in the world economy. At the same conference, the Managing Director of IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, estimated that Turkey would record one of the highest growth rates in 2010.
Economy
Turkey's legal framework also offers extremely attractive opportunities to investors, An entrepreneur, whether local or foreign, can establish a company in Turkey. According to the World Bank's 2009 Database on Business Creation, Turkey ranks above some countries like Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain in this respect.
