CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

A. Background

English is an International language, as young generation, we have to be able to use it to

communicate with foreigners. Moreover, Bojonegoro is as one of the biggest oil cities in Asia.

We should be able to use English to communicate with investors in this town, to get the

communication competence in English, I join BEC (Bojonegoro English Course). In this course, in

the end of the program we have to practice our English with tourists in some tourism places in

Jogjakarta by having interview with tourists there.

The results of interview are to know everything related to the topics and how good our

competence in English is.

B. Objective

The objectives of writing this report are to know how good our competence in English is. By

understanding interview, we can write the result of interview and do the examination well.

CHAPTER II

RESULT OF THE INTERVIEW

1. The interview on Food

a. In Sydney Australia

I met Mrs, Virginia in Prambanan Temple. She went to Prambanan Temple with her family.

She came from Sydney Australia. She stayed in Java for the four days. She is tall and

beautiful. She is also very kind. She very likes with Indonesia. Some Indonesian food which

she very likes is fried rice. She liked it because the taste is delicious. She also told me

about food in her country. The famous food in her country are pie, sandwich, pizza,

spaghetti, pancake, and etc. but her favorite Australian food is lovar dessert. Lovar dessert

is bread similar to a muffin. She usually cooks lovar dessert at home and eat together with

her family.

b. In France

I met Mr. Imanuel in Prambanan Temple. He went to Prambanan Temple with his

girlfriend. He came from France. He stayed in Yogyakarta Hotel for three weeks. He is tall

and handsome. He is also very kind. He told me about food in his country. Indonesian food

and French food is almost the same but in there is no durian. His favorite food is sushi. He

usually eat with his girlfriend in Japanese restaurant. He very likes with Indonesia and his

favorite food in Indonesia is fried rice because fried rice is very spicy.

c. In Indonesia

Indonesia has many kinds of foods. They are traditional foods and modern foods.

Indonesia has many kind of traditional food. They are Sate from Madura, Soto from

Lamongan, Gudheg from Yogyakarta, Ledre from Bojonegoro, Rujak from Surabaya, and

etc. They are Hotdog, Burger, Pizza, Spaghetti, and etc. Tourist likes Indonesia food

because Indonesia food has a special taste.

2. The interview on Sport

a. In Germany

I met Mr. Mario in Prambanan Temple. He went to Prambanan Temple with his friends. He

came from Germany. He stayed in Indonesia for fifteen days. He is tall and handsome. He

is very friendly and kind. He very likes with Indonesia. He also told me about sport. The

famous sport in Germany is football. Germany has the best football players are Bastian

Schweinsteiger, Mesut Ӧzil, Thomas Muller, and etc. but his favorite football players is

Lionel Messi. He has football club. He usually plays football with his friends.

b. In Portugal

I met Mrs. Vera in Prambanan Temple. She went to Prambanan Temple with her friends.

She came from Portugal. She came from Portugal. She stayed in Indonesia for a week. She

is very beautiful. She very likes with Indonesia. She also told me about sport in her

country. The famous sport in her country is football. Portugal has the best football player

is Christiano Ronaldo. But her favorite football player is Lionel Messi. She likes Lionel

Messi very well because Lionel Messi plays very nice.

c. In Indonesia

Indonesia has many kind of sport. They are badminton, tennis, volley, football, swimming,

basketball, and etc. but the famous sport in Indonesia are badminton and football.

Indonesia has many kinds of football club. For example Arema from Malang, Persib from

Bandung, Persebaya from Surabaya, and etc. Indonesia has the best football players such

as Andik Vermansyah, Bambang Pamungkas, Samsul Arif, and etc. Indonesia has legendary

badminton players of all time, he is Taufik Hidayat.

3. The interview of Tourism Place

a. In Germany

I met Mrs. Christa in Prambanan Temple. She went to Prambanan Temple with her

friends. He came from Germany. He stayed in Yogyakarta in Mina Hotel for seventeen

days. She is tall and beautiful. She is very friendly and kind. She likes Indonesia very well.

She also told me about Tourism Place. The famous Tourism Place in Germany are

Bradenburg Gate, Cologne Cathedral, Neuschwanstein and etc. Indonesia her favorite

tourism place such as Borobudur Temple because Borobudur Temple has very peaceful,

beautiful monument and Borobudur Temple is the big monument.

b. In France

I met Mr. Imanuel in Prambanan Temple. He went to Prambanan Temple with his

girlfriend. He came from France. He stayed in Yogyakarta Hotel for three weeks. He is tall

and handsome. He is also very kind. He told me about tourism place in his country. The

famous tourism place in France are Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triomphe, Louvre Museum. His

favorite tourism place in his country is Eiffel Tower. He likes Indonesia. His favorite

tourism place in Indonesia is Prambanan Temple because Prambanan Temple is very

peaceful.

c. In Indonesia

Indonesia has many kinds of tourism place. They are Borobudur Temple from Yogyakarta,

Kayangan Api from Bojonegoro, Parangtritis Beach in Yogyakarta, Toba Lake from South

Sumatra, Kuta Beach from Bali, Senggigi Beach from Lombok Island, Bromo Mountain

from East Java, Raja Ampat from Papua and etc.

A. CONCLUSION

Now I know what the difference is there food abroad with those in Indonesia and I

also know that there are different types of food abroad. There are many types of

food abroad and in Indonesia, which has a distinctive taste as if abroad hotdog gas a

savory and spicy flavors, burgers that taste salty and savory, pancakes that taste

sweet and soft, spaghetti with a sense of the savory and salty and etc. If in Indonesia

gudeg from Yogyakarta has a sweet and savory, Soto from Lamongan has savory and

salty flavors, Satay from Madura that taste savory, spicy and salty and if tourists

visited Indonesia many who love the fried rice because fried rice has savory taste,

salty and spicy and etc. and I know that all food has its own taste.

Now I know the various types of sports that are outside the country and in Indonesia.

Overseas sports actually almost the same as those in Indonesia, but to play the game

and the name of a different sport. Abroad also has the best sports player just like in

Indonesia. Indonesia also has the best sports players and they must also have their

own strategy.

Now I know that there is a variety of tourism place overseas and Indonesia. Each

tourism place definitely has a characterisctic that makes each of its visitors want to

come to the place of tourism. Each tourism place has a history.
