Prayers Requested During the past several weeks, Archbishop John

F. Donoghue has been hospitalized a number of times for a series of

health concerns. Each previous episode thus far has resulted in his

recovery, but he has grown increasingly weak and every occurrence has

taxed his system. His condition remains guarded. Please keep

Archbishop Donoghue in your prayers.

a T-shirt advertising our parish and the FSSP. The design will be

available for viewing next weekend in the parish hall.

Coffee Subscriptions Support FSSP Mystic Monk Coffee is

becoming well-known. Blended and roasted by the Carmelite Monks in

Wyoming, the brews are marketed to support their community projects,

especially the construction of a new monastery. Additionally, they have

committed a percentage of their subscription sales to the Priestly

Fraternity, to assist Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, where some of

the Carmelites prepare for the Priesthood. Please consider a

subscription. Brochures are in the entry and in the parish hall.

C.A.M.P. I had placed some envelopes in the entry for donations to this

local food pantry. Since then, I was made aware that the group also

offers health services, and may make referrals to abortion providers.

Please withhold any financial contributions until I can check this out.

Food may be delivered to their pantry at 6289 Veterans Drive Building

12-A, Austell, GA 30168.

Arriving Late for Mass & Holy Communion Simply

put, the Mass is a unity from beginning to end. Those attending should

be there for the entire Mass. If you are the cause of your lateness, due

to negligence or casualness, you should not receive. If someone or

something else caused your lateness, then you may be able to receive

Holy Communion if you have not missed a major portion of Mass.

While there are no strict rules on this matter, common sense should

apply. Remember, also, that Mass is not celebrated simply so that

people might be provided Holy Communion. No one is obliged to

receive Holy Communion during Mass, except the celebrant. Therefore,

reason would indicate that a timely arrival and preparation should be the

norm when one does intend to receive.

Correction Last week, I printed something erroneous about the

marriage of baptized non-Catholics. To clarify: first, the marriage

between a baptized non-Catholic and a Catholic-- is already a

sacrament by its very nature. Second, I had intended to write about the

marriage of a Catholic and a non-baptized person. This marriage is

raised to the dignity of a sacrament when the non-baptized person

accepts baptism, and is thus received into the Church.

A Novena of Masses (Nov. 2-10) will be offered for the All

Souls intentions submitted, as well as their remembrance

during the remainder of the month.

On Nov. 2, Fr. McCarthy will offer three consecutive

Masses, beginning at 6:30am. This fulfills an All Souls

Day practice of earlier days. Those who attend the first

Mass, may leave after Holy Communion has been

distributed.

New in the Library DVDs: 1)Blessed Duns Scotus, 2)Vianney

Speaks. Book: The Abbess of Andalusia: the Spiritual Journey of

Flannery O’Connor. The library is open after 9am Mass each Sunday.

Fidelium Animae Per Misercordiam Dei Requiescant in Pace. Amen.
