Needs for WiBro service at Home Area
• To provide indoors service coverage by solving dead zone problem
• To satisfy the requirement of data traffic originated from indoors
- Existing RAS cannot handle all traffic demands from indoor
• To provide service continuity between WiBro and indoor RAS without changing UE

3. ITU-R WP5D Issues on Femto cell
ITU-R WP 5D has begun discussion on femto cells (or their equivalent) for IMT.
ITU-R WP 5D wishes to collect information on femto cells to determine if WP 5D can add value to the understanding of femto cell (or equivalent) deployment for its members (Administrations, Sector Members, Associates, etc.).
Specifically, WP 5D is aware that EOs may be working in this area.
ITU-R WP5D has requested that EOs provide general information the following subjects after WP5D 4th Meeting(Geneva)
What is your organization’s definition of a femtocell (or equivalent)? Standards and specifications Describe the network architectures being considered What applications for femtocells (or equivalent) are being considered? What deployment issues are being discussed – for example:

TTA received “LIAISON STATEMENT TO EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONSREQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON FEMTOCELLS(Document 5D/TEMP/152-E) from ITU-R WP5D
TTA Mobile Communication Technical Committee(TC7) is going to consider this liaison statement.
If necessary, we will prepare a response liaison for the next WP5D Meeting(June, 2009)
