Term to take an Internet of Things course with

Janice Canedo. Students created and

programmed a variety of projects including a

smart space heater, a smart carbon monoxide

detector, a smart thermostat, a laser detection

system, a smart switch, a smart light activated

by motion, and a smart flame detector. Students

learned how to design and build circuits,

program sockets, and program a mySQL

database. Students were super sad when two

days of class were cancelled due to bad weather.

Several students are planning to present IOT

projects at Tower Day.
