At Covent Garden, you can see some of the best street performers in the world. There are jugglers, clowns, magicians, living statues, musicians - the list goes on and on!

Whales are sea-living mammals. They therefore breathe air but cannot survive on land. Some species are very large indeed and the blue whale, which can exceed 30 m in length, is the largest animal to have lived on earth: Superficially, the whale looks like a fish, but there are important differences in its external structure: its tail consists of a pair of broad, flat, horizontal paddles (the tail of a fish is vertical) and it has a single nostril on top of its large, broad head. The skin is smooth and shiny and beneath it lies a layer of fat (blubber). This is up to 30 cm in thickness and serves to converse heat and body fluids. REOG PONOROGOReog Ponorogo is a very spectacular dance.
Dancers wear bright, colorful costumes and are accompanied by gamelan music. The dancers always perform it out in the open are such as in a town square. Reog dates back to the Hindu period in East Java. The story is related to the legend of Ponorogo Kingdom about 70 km south east of
Solo. The central figure of this dance is the Lion
King - Singa barong. The dancer wears a mask of the lion and carries a large peacock feather fan on top of the mask. The mask is called Topeng Dadak Merak. It can weigh up to 50 kg. The dancer has to use his teeth to hold the mask from inside the mask. A strong set of teeth and a strong neck are essential. Sometimes he has to demonstrate his skill and strength by carrying another masked dancer on top of him and still dance with energetic and amazing movements.
Another important characteristic is Bujangga Anom. Together with Singa Barong they are accompanied by one or more masked clowns or acrobats. There are also a number of hobby horse dancers, who are said to represent the troops of Bujangga Anom. Last autumn, I was in India during Diwali, the "Festival of Lights", which takes place every year to celebrate the victory of good over evil. This festival lasts for five days and is held at the end of October or in the first week of November.
Preparations began weeks before the event. People cleaned their homes and painted wonderful designs called rangolis on the walls and floors. They bought beautiful new clothes and jewelry to wear during the festival. Women made delicious sweets which were better than any others I have ever tasted.
During the five days of Diwali, every home and temple was decorated, inside and outside, with lovely clay lamps and colourful candles. After dark, the whole neighbourhood glittered with thousands of tiny lights, as though in a fairy tale. Excited children set off firecrackers, and at first, I was frightened by the loud bangs, but the spectacular display was so fascinating that I soon joined in the spirit of celebration.

Avian Influenza is an infection caused by Avian (bird) influenza (flu) viruses. These occur naturally among birds. Wild birds worldwide carry the viruses in their intestines, but usually do not get sick from them. However, avian influenza is very contagious among birds and can make some domesticated birds, including chickens, ducks and turkeys, very sick and kill them.
Infected birds shed influenza virus in their saliva, nasal secretions and feces. Susceptible birds become infected when they have contact with contaminated secretions or excretions from infected birds. Domesticated birds may contact with surfaces ( such as dirt or cages) or materials such as water or food ) that have been contaminated.
Infected with avian influenza viruses in domestic poultry causes two main forms of diseases that are distinguished by low and high extremes of virulence. The low pathogenic form may go undetected and usually causes only maid symptoms (such as ruffle feathers and a drop in reproduction. However, the highly pathogenic form spreads more rapidly through flocks of poultry. This form may cause disease that affects multiple internal organs and has a mortality rate that can reach 90-100% often within 48 hours. http://www.cdc.gov/flutavianigen-info/facts.htm

Jellyfish are not really fish. They are invertebrate animals. This means that unlike fish or people, they have no backbones. In fact, they have no bones at all.
Jellyfish have stomachs and mouths, but no heads. They have nervous systems for sensing the world around them, but no brains. They are made almost entirely of water, which is why you can look through them.
Some jellyfish can glow in darkness by making their own light. The light is made by a chemical reaction inside the jellyfish. Scientists believe jellyfish glow for several reasons. For example, they may glow to scare away predators or to attract animals they like to eat.
Most jellyfish live in salt water, apart from a few types that live in fresh water. Jellyfish are found in oceans and seas all over the world. They live in warm, tropical seas and in icy waters near the North and South poles.
