Special Support and Assistance
Church Mission and Doctrine Making Disciples through Evangelism, Exaltation and Edification.
Evangelism...To encourage non-believers to accept Jesus Christ to the point of Transformation. “And the lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and the hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be full.” (Luke 14:23)
Exaltation...To encourage believers to passionately view and follow Christ. “…that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”. (1 Peter 2:9)
Edification...To build the spiritual character of believers and help them understand that they are called and needed in ministry. “But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
We accomplish this mission by following the Discipleship Plan with each believer. This plan consists of knowing, growing, serving, and replicating.
What We Believe We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and only
written Word of God. We believe that there is one God, Eternally existent in Three
Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the Rapture of the
Church of God, which is in Christ, at his return. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is
through repentance: Faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross
provides healing to the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to
Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world.

The Rock First Family
Pastor Frank Jacobs Pastor Frank Jacobs was born one of ten children to the late Pastor Lewis I. Jacobs and Mother Gladene Jacobs-Garland. God blessed him to be the first in his family to attend college by allowing him to dazzle college football scouts who were recruiting another member of his high school football team. Pastor Jacobs received a full four-year scholarship to James Madison University where he met his wife, Kimberly, and later received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and
Sociology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southeastern University with a focus on Business Management. He is currently an Area Vice President for a leader in the pharmaceutical industry.
Pastor Jacobs was licensed as a minister in 1996 in the Church of God in Christ. In 1999, Pastor Jacobs was appointed and installed as Pastor of the church where his father was Pastor before he was called to Glory. He continued to Pastor in Western Pennsylvania for 5 years until he heard God's voice guiding him to move to Charlotte, NC.
Pastor Jacobs founded The Rock Worship Center in November 2004. The Lord spoke to him about his "Promised Land" and relocated him to Charlotte, NC from the Pittsburgh, PA area. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jacobs purchased a building located in West Charlotte formerly known as Westover Hills Presbyterian Church.
First Lady Kimberly Jacobs Kim was born the daughter of Bishop Elijah Jackson and Ella Jackson – Spratley on May 31, 1970 in Newport News, VA. She was raised in Ridley Circle, a low-income housing project in Newport News, VA known to most locals as “The Bottom.” Raised by her single mother, Ella Jackson - Spratley, she learned at an early age that external factors do not determine your destiny. Kimberly’s mother instilled in her that regardless of the local store being called “BE – LO” and the neighborhood being called “The Bottom” she could achieve greatness. Armed with that knowledge, Kimberly went on to attend and graduate from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
Kimberly Jacobs is currently the host of a new talk show called Daily Balance with Kim Jacobs. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and she is a Certified Seminar Speaker through the American Seminar Leader’s Association. Kim is also a member of the Les Brown Speaker’s Network. A vivacious self-starter, Kimberly is the founder and CEO of Kim Jacobs Unlimited, Inc., a seminar and production company. Kimberly is a work/life balance expert and change management strategist, making her one of today’s most sought after speakers. Her empowering seminars are designed to help individuals embrace change and live their lives with balance and purpose. Pastor Frank and First Lady Jacobs are the proud parents of four bright young men of standard: Frankie, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Ivan; and one beautiful girl – Jayla.
Our Greatest Fear From Akeelah and the Bee...
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is
that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than
our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves – who are we to be
brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are
you to not be so?
You are a child of God, small games do not work in this world. For
those around us to feel peace, it is not ideal to make ourselves
small. We were born to express the glory of God that lives in us. It
is not in some of us, it is in all of us. While we allow our light to
shine, we unconsciously give permission for others to do the same.
When we liberate ourselves from our own fears, simply our
presence may liberate others.
Marianne Williamson
The Lord Is Our Provider
The Lord is our Provider, in all that we hope for,
He is the opener and closer for each and every door.
So always pray and seek His face, That our sins within He will erase.
He loves us more than we know, And only ask that we let His light show.
So that on the day we give up the GHOST, To live with Jesus our Heavenly Host.
So press on Rock Worshipers for what is best,
Like Jesus Christ we know He passed the Test.
He gave His Life that He might show, No greater Love will we ever know.
To Pastor & First Lady I Love You so much; Thank you for your prayers I know you got in Touch
With the Lord our Savior. You prayed for our Souls, and
I want you to know He’s making us whole.
So keep doing what you’re doing, making disciples for Christ Your crowns are in Heaven with jewels that can’t be priced.
Love, Ruth & Family
