Parent Volunteers If you are a new parent or a parent who is volunteering on a regular basis in our school (eg exchanging home readers in your child’s class or helping with developmental play in Kindergarten), we require you to complete a statutory declaration and a proof of identity check in order to comply with the Department of Education Working with Children Check Policy and Procedures. This is a requirement for all volunteers and contractors who may come in contact with students whilst in the school and is to ensure the safety of the students. Next time you come in to volunteer, you will need to see Kathy in the office for the declaration form, which should only take a few minutes to fill in. In addition, you will be required to provide documents to satisfy the 100 point proof of identity check. (Please see below for the list of documents you can provide). We appreciate you giving your time to volunteer in our school, and your co-operation in assisting us in meeting these guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. Mrs Natter
