What is a template
A template is standardized file type used by computer software as a pre-formatted example on which to base other files, especially documentsIn TruServe, you can create templates, assign them to different staff, and use them for several purposes
Why Use Templates
• Track technical assistance provided• Streamline office work• Share information with colleagues• Run report for grants• Save time!
How to create a template
1. Think of your everyday tasks and characterize them (TA, Outreach, information dissemination)
2. Figure out grant requirements and separate into general headings (Rural TA, 3RNET, J1)
3. Add any community partners, FQHC, Colleges, etc. to the orgs/people tab
Creating activity based on your templates
More template information
• You can edit a template any time there are changes (you have a new community partner)
• You can run reports in TruServe and get the information for grants, PIMS, 3RNET reporting, etc.
• Activities can be put in based on your time (daily, weekly, etc)
