Troubleshooting M-Bus meters

PiiGAB M-Bus Setup Wizard Find PiiGAB’s M-Bus gateways on the network.
Set IP-address of PiiGAB’s M-Bus gateways on the network.
Test M-Bus meters.
Set primary address of M-Bus meters.

Possibilities Transparent M-Bus traffic between the M-Bus meter and the M-Bus client. PiiGAB M-Bus 900
will not affect the requests and responses in any way.
Up to four M-Bus clients can read the M-Bus meters independently.
The M-Bus client can communicate UDP/IP, TCP/IP, RS232 or RS485 with PiiGAB M-Bus 900.
A separate M-Bus master can also be used and will be regarded as an M-Bus client.
Internal switching function with queue that selects what M-Bus client has access to the M-
Bus meters.
Limitations Half duplex on the M-Bus loop. Not possible to read the M-Bus meters in parallel.
Slow readout time of M-Bus meters. Normally there is about a 1 second readout time (2400
baud). It may vary depending on the baud rate from 0,5 seconds to 10 seconds.
The more M-Bus clients the more each client has to take into consideration that the readout
time will increase. Time = Readout time for one M-Bus meter x Number of clients.

Possibilities Allowing any Modbus clients to read the M-Bus meters.
Up to four Modbus clients can read the M-Bus meters independently.

Use the PiiGAB M-Bus Explorer to specify which register corresponds to particular objects in
