1/4 of all Medicines come from resources found in Tropical Rainforests.

The soil is shallow and poor in nutrients. It has good production of nutrients but the plants use them very quickly. (no soluble minerals)

99% of nutrients in the Rainforest are found in tree roots. When the trees are cut down, the nutrients will never be recycled back into the environment

Wild Life

Jaguars, poison dart frogs, toucans, lemurs, and

tigers are a few endemic species native to Tropical Rainforests around the world.

Some endemic plant species that are native to Tropical Rainforests include the Baobab trees, Nene, Daisy trees, and a variety of orchards.

Wild Life

Many plants and animals have adapted to this biome. For example, many plants have “drip tips”and grooved leaves, along with oily coatings to shed off excess water that can bog them down. Plants also have large leaves to soak up the maximum amount of sunlight. Monkeys have long arms to swing through the canopy, avoiding the

predators that prowl the forest floor.

Tropical Rainforests is during the wet season, from January to June. The temperature is at a more comfortable level, and it is easier to see wildlife.
