  • Applicants shall have to appear for the entrance test (at their own cost) at the Tripura University Centre, Suryamaninagar, Agartala, in the event of which, applicants shall be informed at least seven days prior to the entrance test.

    A fee once paid is not refundable / transferable.

    If any dispute arises regarding any matter of admission, the decision of the Tripura University shall be final.

    All litigation regarding admission shall lie within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Tripura.

    In case of any (i) failure in the online system, (ii) failure of payment through bank, or (iii) any other unforeseen circumstances leading to failure in submission of form etc. the Tripura University authority shall not be held responsible.

    PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF REQUISITE FEES FOR APPLICANTS IN THE REGULAR MODE: Payment for Indian Students: Students can visit Tripura University website and make their payment through HDFC Bank Payment Gateway by using net banking or Debit/Credit cards.

    Payment for International Students: Students can make payments through their banks via wire transfer.

    Applicants may download their 'Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Cards for the Entrance Test from the university website after necessary verification. It is mandatory for applicants to bring the Acknowledgement cum Admit Card and any other appropriate photo identity proof, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear for the entrance test.

  • DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

    About the Department:

    The Department of Physical Education established in the year 2011 with an objective to produce

    good leaders in the field of Physical education and preparing teachers for senior secondary level as

    well as professor/directors/sports officers in colleges, teacher educators in Colleges of Physical

    Education and University Departments of Physical Education. Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed)

    is 4(four) semesters Degree course. The Master Degree Course (M.P.Ed.) is NCTE approved. In

    M.P.Ed, main thrust area is to provide theoretical and critical understanding in professional and

    allied subjects. Here, aptitude for research is inculcated besides carrying out advanced studies in the

    realm of physical education. Students are also trained in a sport of their own choice both in practical

    and theoretical aspects of a sport under sports specialization. In order to make them a specialist for

    imparting advance coaching. Department is equipped with modern scientific equipment in the area

    of Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Anthropometry and Sports Training. Researchers can

    conduct high level research work in the laboratories of the Department.

    1. Candidates who have obtained at least 50% marks in the NCTE Recognized B.P.Ed

    Degree are eligible for admission. All other relaxation will be as per NCTE guide lines.

    2. The Reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC and

    other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government.

  • Marks will be awarded in Physical Fitness Test on the basis of performance in 50

    meters Sprint, Standing broad jump, 4 X10 meters shuttle run, Over head back hand

    throw and 1000 meters run. The norms are given bellow.

    officer/practitioner should be submitted with the application form.

    The performance in five items will be converted in to point on the basis of above tables and the required weight ages of final points will be considered as

    performance scores.

    All the Physical Fitness item scores will be converted to the whole means of 50.

    Written Test:

    Duration of Written Test will be 1.30hrs. and shall comprise of sports knowledge,

    The Department of Physical Education will organize an Adventure Sports Camp at High Altitude venues for the M.P.Ed students, which is mandatory.

    Any student who fails consecutively for 3 years in a class, he/she shall not be eligible for the course.
