Trio Sunday Block of the Month Introducing a new name for the 2nd Sunday of the month group when you have a choice of three quil ng projects.
Trio Sunday BoM — Aunt Grace “Baskets of Scraps”
Fabrics designed by Judie Rothermel and the BoM by It’s Sew Emma. Through the years, Judie’s Aunt Grace fabrics have become It’s Sew Emma’s favorite window to the early twen eth century. The scrappy borders surround appliquéd blocks that are sewn to mimic the look of English paper piecing, without the extra work! The cheerful patchwork border perfectly illustrates how even the smallest pieces in one’s scrap basket can combine to create one of the best elements of this quilt. In addi on, it’s only the size of the border that differen ates the King and Queen size quilt op ons. Yardage requirements are the same for both sizes. A 9 month BoM

Trio Sunday — Painter’s Garden
Painter's Garden by Nancy Rink. Painterly inspired prints of watercolor roses, wood planks, and spa ers combine with interes ng textures and mo fs to create Nancy’s Twilight Tones collec on. The lush trans‐seasonal pale e features shades of teal, berry and pear green, reminiscent of gardens depicted in the works of impressionist ar sts. Two block op ons are available: pieced with appliqued
centers or all pieced. For the BOM quilt, Nancy gives quilters Appliqued and Pieced block op ons.
Quilters can achieve the look with tradi onal cu ng methods, or cut the pieces and applique shapes using the AccuQuilt GO!
As a third op on for the appliqued version, quilters can purchase a laser‐cut applique pack.

We started out years ago as a block of the month program featuring the Garden Patch Cats pa ern series. The years flew by and the group se led into an ongoing status more like an open‐sew format. Though some members s ll work on cat blocks and quilts, we have evolved well beyond that and now par cipants are as likely to bring a UFO or embroidery project as work on a cat quilt. If you are looking for an open sew group with mentoring and have no interest in Cat Quilts you may find this a perfect opportunity to come sit and sew with the benefit of a teacher who can help you get back on track if you are trying to wrap up a project or work on an ongoing one. We meet the first Tuesday of each month (with some rare excep ons) from noon to about 5pm (some mes a bit earlier during bad weather or early darkness). Every now and again we have a potluck or a group project that members are welcome to par cipate in or not as they wish Come check us out, you might find that you would like to reserve your own cushiony spot and become an A c Cat.
Skill level: Open to all.
