Dr. Bruce Braun will be here giving us the award, and he has asked that as many parents as possible be present to witness us getting the award. Take time to make it if at all possible. WALK-A-THON—The school’s annual walk-a-thon is scheduled for the morning of Friday, May 27. Students will walk five miles to raise money for school en- hancement projects, including carpet and possibly drinking fountains as well as a 10 percent gift to breast cancer research in honor of Mrs. Beth Chaiser and Mrs. Sandy Knopf who successfully battled breast cancer this year. $100 FOR STUDENTS— Each week on Wednesday, Trinity has CEF Stamps available for purchase so students can develop and grow a savings account for their future. At the end of each month, there is a drawing using all the names of the students that participated during that months’ time. Thrivent will provide a $100 prize on June 8 for our drawings. REMAINING CHAPEL OFFERINGS support Groundwork Guatemala. The offering will support Trinity’s sponsored students in Guatemala. Encourage your student to bring in their chapel offering each Wednesday until the end of the year. >ANNOUNCEMENTS WIFI is available in our building.     TRINITY ECC SUMMER CAMPS NEEDS YOUR HELP! Trinity is planning a won-derful, updated, FUN summer program for school age kids! We are in NEED of people and things! Do you have a special talent you can share? Do you have a passion for cooking, sewing, gardening, woodworking, car mainte-nance, arts and crafts? Would you consider sharing this passion with the school age kids this summer over the course of a few days or a week? We are in need of several items, including empty, clean, vegetable cans, empty PRIN-GLES containers, yarn (any type and color), empty salt shakers, plastic jars (such as empty peanut butter), empty metal coffee cans, cloth type table cloth, marbles, board games and a Lasso rope (yes, you read correctly!) BOTTLE/CAN RECYCLING DRIVE JUNE 4/5Trinitys Groundwork Guatemala mission team is collecting returnable cans and bottles to purchase supplies. The last bottle drive will be Saturday/Sunday, June 4/5.Just bag them up and team members will collect them from your car along the sidewalk between the church and the Community Center before and after services. If you prefer to do your own returns, we accept your proceeds or returnable slips. A list of needs is availa-ble on the bulletin board in the church foyer. STOCK THE SHELVESOn the first Saturday/Sunday of each month, the Food Pantry volunteers will be collecting donations outside the church entrances. The food pantry needs shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, deodorant, soap, boxed potatoes, pancake mix, syrup and canned fruit. Donations can also be left in the hallway near the nursery or the Church Office. TRINITYS 51ST ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE will be held on Thursday, June 2 in the Community Center. Roll up a sleeve and join us! Most donations take about an hour, so find a time that is convenient and book an appointment at Trinityct.org. DRIVERS WANTEDThe American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides free rides for cancer patients to and from treatments. Trained volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help patients get to the treatments they need. Volunteer drivers must have a current, valid driv-ers license, proof of automobile insurance, and own a safe and reliable vehicle. Drivers must be between the ages of 18-84 and be willing to have a background check and motor vehicle records check to ensure volunteer and patient safe-ty. For information, call (248) 663-3400.
