Welcome back from summer. This is the time to catch up on your giving if you’ve fallen behind

during those summer months. Trinity is brimming over with opportunities for sharing

your God-given talents. As it says in Romans, Chapter 12, “So we are to use our different gifts

in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God’s message, we should do it according to the faith that we

have. If it is to serve, we should serve; if it is to teach, we should teach. If it is to encourage

others, we should do so. Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully.”

Confirmation, BOLT, Fellowship Teams, the Fall Supper, and other programs need your

time & talents for Trinity to survive and thrive.

BOLT Open House Pictures

We had 9 people who went to Feed My Starving Children on Saturday, September 21st. We had a good time packing meals for Malawi. Our 2-hour time slot packed 141 boxes, totaling 30,456 meals which will feed 83 kids for a year. We try to do this quarterly and will be booking a slot in December (December 7th). We usually reserve 25 places and would love to fill these and request more spots.

Please prayerfully consider joining us on that day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the St. Croix Central School Supplies. We were able to take an additional 2 bags of school supplies to the Elementary School after Labor Day.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Food Shelf, Grace Place, Little Food Pantry, and SCC Backpack Program. Reminder that the next Food Shelf Sunday will be October 13th. Grace Place is currently in need of size 5 and 6 diapers, sensitive skin wipes, toilet paper, and paper towels. Thank you also to all who make sure that the donations are delivered to the locations. We could not do this without your donations and time. We also have donation boxes for used eye glasses (with Roberts Lions) and empty pill bottles (with Hammond Healthcare).

In October, we will also be collecting donations for SCC’s school lunch program. This money will be available for students whose lunch account has dropped below the minimum. Thank you for your generosity.

We will be serving the evening meal at Grace Place on Thursday, October 24th. Grace Place currently has 35 residents. We prepare and deliver the meal to Grace Place in disposable containers, offer the dinner prayer, and they clean up after they have eaten. A sign-up will be available a couple weeks before we serve. ~Cont’d

Matthew 25:35-40: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

Mark your calendars for Monday, October 21st the United Fire – Hammond Station is having a Burger Night for Samantha (Sammie) Criego and her Family. This is for Sammie and her family for any needs as she goes through cancer treatments. Stop by The Parkside Restaurant in Hammond for supper. You can get a hamburger and fries all for $5.00. Add-ons are $0.25 each. Dine-in or Carryout is available.

Seen on Facebook: Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare is in need of blanket donations for their kiddos after they come out of surgery. Specifically, they could use more youth boy fleece blankets and more adult men and women’s fleece blankets. If interested in donating, please contact Paula Graham at [email protected] for more information and guidelines. Thank you to all! God’s Blessings!
