SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER John 20:19-31

Reflection:

Today's Gospel focuses on the saying, “seeing is believing”. People often do not believe something until they have seen it for themselves. The followers of Jesus had been told that he had risen from the dead, yet they were still filled with doubt. In the Gospel we hear about how this faith is re-stored. It encourages a feeling of a new

and fresh beginnings. Jesus has risen. He commissions his apostles and breathes the Holy Spirit on them. This is a good time for us to make fresh endeavours (‘new resolu-tions’, if you like) in the way in which we

live our Christian lives, taking our cue from Jesus and the wonderful things he did.

Possible discussion:

In today’s Gospel what people did Jesus appear to?

Where were the disciples? How did they feel when they saw Jesus?

Who did not believe it was Jesus? Why did Thomas stop doubting?

When can you sense Jesus is with you, even though you do not see him?

How can we recognise Jesus in other peo-ple?

MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST 9th May

On Tuesday 9th May, we will be honouring all our Mother’s and Grandmother’s with a special breakfast at school. If you have not yet returned your form, could you please

TRINITY’S HARMONY DAY – TUE MAY 2nd

Trinity’s Harmony Day will recognise and celebrate the cultural differences and similarities that exist within our school community. On this day, we invite the

students to wear clothes and accessories that highlight the country of their fami-

ly’s heritage or the colour orange.

On this day, we warmly invite and en-courage families to come along at any stage and join in the activities taking

place in the classroom.

HELP WANTED We would love to celebrate our unique

diversity by inviting students, families or friends to share some of their talents

and knowledge at our school assembly on this day. If you would be interested in talking to the students, showing some-thing unique to your country or singing or dancing etc, we would be very grate-ful. If this were something, you would be able to do, could you please let my-

self or the office know.

More information can be found on the notice that was sent home last week

or at the end of this

ANZAC DAY 2017

On Monday Trinity acknowledged ANZAC Day with a special service run by the Social Justice Leaders. During the memorial service we remembered those who served not only in WWI, but all those touched by conflicts over the years. We prayed in gratitude for the sacrifices of the brave men and women who have served our country, and the Student Leaders laid a wreath of rosemary and poppies in remembrance. Let us continue to honour those fallen and to heed the words of Jesus, “Blessed are the Peacemakers”, in all of our words and actions. We thank Jessica and Grace who represented Trinity with pride, at the Cranbourne ANZAC commemoration service on Tuesday 25th April, laying the school wreath on our behalf

All parents/Guardians wishing to help in the classroom, canteen or attend excursions MUST have completed the PARENT HELPER WORKSHOP and hold a current WORKING WITH CHILDREN CARD.

Further details are available from the school office. All parent/guardian helpers must sign in at the office before proceeding to the classrooms. Your current Working with Children card must be displayed at all times when working in the classrooms and attending excursions.

A reminder to all Parents/Carers, supervision by School Staff begins at 8.30am before school and after school only at the drop

off area until 3.30pm.

Please observe and supervise your children, as they play on the equipment.

Thank you for your co-operation

TRINITY CAR PARK ETIQUETTE For greater safety and visibility, we are requesting that all

drivers reverse park into the marked bays.

Thank you all who use the pedestrian crossing area. You are demonstrating to your children correct road safety practices. Once children cross the pedestrian crossing into the parking area, they, for their safety, need to be placed into vehicles promptly. The car park is NOT a meeting area.

The lane around the edge of the car park (closest to the oval) are for vehicles waiting to pick children up from the Pick-up Zone ONLY.

The two parking bays closest to the office path are the PICK-UP ZONES. These are NO STANDING zones. I f your children are not ready to get into your car as you pull up to the pick-up zone, you must continue on and rejoin the end of the pick-up queue.

There is NO RIGHT TURN when exiting the car park. All vehicles must turn left for the safety of others and to maintain traffic flow.

THE GATES CLOSE AT 9.00am AND RE-OPEN AT 3.00pm. Occasionally they might re-open slightly later due to school activities.

Thank you for your patience and consideration of others.
