For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. -John 3:16
The Spirit of Trinity IS FASTEST BOAT
IN THE REGATTA!
FIRST… we would like to send out
a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone
who donated to help pay expenses for
the building of Spirit. You all helped
defray the costs immensely and we
greatly appreciated your assistance!
Hopefully, this well-built vessel will
last us a few more races with only
minor maintenance costs.
SECOND… we want to thank our
two rowers, Rob and Chris Sanders,
who did an excellent job, and guided
our boat to victory. The race was an
experience in itself and Rob and
Chris revealed restraint,
determination, and stamina. We are
so very proud of them! We also are
proud of our additional crew
members, Brayden and Christian
Williams, who provided coaching
assistance during practice, assisted in
loading, unloading, and carrying
Spirit, as well as a giant part of the
cheering squad.
THIRD… an EXTREMELY BIG
THANK YOU to John George, who
designed and made Spirit. He put
more than 6 weeks of hard work into
perfecting her.
The boat cut through the water “like a
knife cutting soft butter”. It was truly
a fine vessel!
FOURTH… a TRIPLE THANK
YOU to Marion Richardson for
coming to the rescue of some very
untalented painters. Marion used her
creativity and artistry to turn our boat
into spectacular ray of sunshine. In
addition, she created a flag to match
our Sun theme with the Episcopal
crest.
I must tell you that the race was
nothing we have experienced before,
with some eventful happenings. Our
boat was attacked by “sharks” from
Tupelo and a rescue mission ensued
with Brayden Williams and Stephen
George jumping in the water (fully
clothed) to protect the Spirit of
Trinity. We all survived and came
home with the coveted broken paddle
award for the Fastest Boat. There
was no first place awarded due to the
complications that happened during
the race. NEXT YEAR, DON’T
MISS THE ACTION AT THE
BISHOP’S BBQ & REGATTA!!!

THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN!
With only about 18 days left until the
Rev. Beth Palmer’s First Service Sunday,
preparations are under way!
The Church of the Holy Trinity will have a
welcome reception in the McInnis Parish
Hall immediately following the 10:30
service on the 24th
of June.
During the church service, Rev. Palmer
will include the honoring of our Senior
Acolytes as well as ALL graduating
Seniors. Please make plans to attend! We
are so excited to mark the beginning of yet
another new chapter at Holy Trinity!
Christmas on the River
Mississippi-Style! Even though summer is here, it is time to begin
preparing for Christmas on the River! Petesy Smith
has coordinated a group of people to meet at St.
Albans on the first Saturday of each month.
The group knits and crochets hats and scarves to get
ready for the fifty-something boxes that will be given
out to our local men and women working the river!.
If you are interested in participating, please meet us at
St.Albans the first Saturday of the month from 9 to 12.
BYOL (bring your own lunch!) We will knit and
crochet until noon and then enjoy a nice conversation
and lunch.
WHAT!?!? YOU DON’T KNOW HOW
TO KNIT OR CROCHET?!
No problem! We are also giving free lessons! The
group can loan you what you need to get started. Also,
for those of you who do know what to do, the church
office has patterns available. They will also be
available next week through the church website.

Dear Friends!
Recently, you donated $500.00 to the Grace Christian Counseling Center, and I wanted to share with you
my appreciation for your support. From the start, our mission has been to provide professional
counseling to persons regardless of their resources to pay for those services. Every dollar counts!
Our salaries and expenses are covered by help from donations, fundraisers, and the support of churches
and groups like you. We also receive payments from clients and their insurance companies, but not
everybody has good coverage; some have no coverage. To make up the difference in just the first four
months of 2012, we discounted our fees by a total of over
$40,000! I find that to be a staggering number! As you can imagine, we welcome your
assistance as it helps us do what we do best, provide quality counseling services to our
colhmunity.
I feel confident that together we are serving as the Body of Christ to the people of Vicksburg. I
feel blessed to be a part of this ministry with you. Many, many thanks for your support!
God's Peace,
Walter L. Frazier, PhD, LPC, N
