TRIATHLON
Rocket Science Sports leads the industry in wetsuit design and technology. While many triathletes easily pour 10-20 hours of training weekly to adequately prepare for the race season, the time spent swimming usually lags by comparison with the time vested into cycling and running. As a result most triathletes’ biggest weakness is swimming. In our wetsuits, even the most novice swimmers can overcome the deficiencies of less than stellar swimming skills.
BASICS: More than entry-level, this wetsuit takes the athlete back to basics. While this suit is great for entry-level athletes, we designed it for any level swimmer who desires as little as possible between the water and their body. Brandon & Amy Marsh who are consistently first out of the water at Ironman events have asked for a high quality suit without any gimmicks and we delivered this rock solid contender.
REAL JANE / JOE: Stepping up from the Basics line is the Real Jane / Joe lineup. These suits are made with high quality Neoprene and offer our patented Buoyancy Laminated Technology (BLTTM) for added floatation where it counts.
ELITE: Building up from the solid foundation provided by the RJ suits, the Elite suits offer a more sleek body position, as well as an enhanced forearm to catch just a little more water with each stroke.
ROCKET: If you are looking for every advantage legally available in a wetsuit, the Rocket is for you. With vortex generators reducing separation drag on the back and our carbon catch panels on the arms you will never be able to say your suit slowed you down.

Our proprietary Vortex Generators are V-shaped ridges which protrude from the wetsuit surface. The ridges are composed of rubber and are attached to the midsection of the lower back. Our strategic placement of the vortex generators reduces drag by minimizing the size of the separation bubbles that form behind the buttocks of a submerged swimmer.

Rocket Science Sports has developed an innovative Buoyancy Laminated Technology (BLTTM) material. The BLTTM utilizes various densities of neoprene rubber resulting in the most lightweight and flexible material used in triathlon wetsuits. We researched many materials and technologies when designing our own chamois to offer unmatched comfort, stretch, and shock absorption. RSS Chamois Technology does what no other tri chamois does. It dampens road vibration without absorbing water and provides total comfort by stretching with your body to eliminate chafing. Plus it has neutral buoyancy of 0.98 so you won’t be weighed down during your swim.
*Data was collected in a lab with six athletes exercising for 60 min on a
distribution similar to sunlight and an intensity of 724 W m-2. Each subject took part in four experiments in random order: wearing suits of white poly-amide, black polyamide, white cotton and black cotton.

What separates our water bottle from the rest is its unique aerodynamic design – modeled after the golf ball to minimize drag while cycling. The majority of drag associated with water bottles results from the separation of airflow causing what’s known as pressure drag. Air flowing past a traditional smooth exterior separates quickly resulting in high pressure drag. With our dimpled water bottle, airflow separation is delayed, which results in a smaller airflow separation region. The dimples add more kinetic energy to the airflow, forcing it to remain attached longer – ultimately reducing pressure drag.
