Volkswagen’s 1.8T EngineThe 1.8T VW engine variants we use feature Drive Wire Throttle and Variable Intake Camshaft Timing with 5-valves per cylinder.

The 1.8T engine we use is classed as an Ultra Low Emissions engine and comes equipped with a Leak Detection System. This system prevents fuel vapors which contain hydrocarbons from entering the atmosphere.

Performance and fuel mileage are greatly improved with the efficiency of 5 valves per cylinder and a KO3 Turbocharger. This combination provides a huge torque increase at low RPM with minimal turbo lag.

OEM like fit and finish is achieved with a plug & play wiring harness that plugs right into your Vanagon’s electrical system. Available for 2WD and 4WD models (automatic is not currently available for California)

Ground clearance and German Engineering are retained!

Anti-Theft System $285When activated your ECU will not allow the start the engine by cutting Fuel Injector Pulse and also Ignition (spark) even if “hot-wired”. Engine will not start. By inputting a private code you can de-activate the system quickly and be on your way.

Stephan’s Auto Haus offers one of the best warranties in the area with all parts and labor warranted for 24 months / 24,000 miles which ever occurs first unless caused by misuse, abuse, drivers neglect or personal damage. We will repair at our option any defective parts or labor, after verification of warranty repair. Towing, time lost during repair and replacement vehicle cost during repair are not covered. Nation wide warranty on Coolant Hoses through Napa.
