I am a final year academic student specialising in a Web Design and Development degree at Edge Hill University. The following degree has allowed me to gain experience in a number of different web technologies in addition to understanding usability aspects of a web application (UX/UI). I am currently seeking a role into Front-End Development along with UI/UX development also.

October 2014 – March 2015 Polymorph (Work Experience)

Utilising an IDE (Android Studio) along with other various web technologies to develop a weather app that provided updates on the weather during the next 7 days in the UK.

Incorporated GitHub into the project which allowed the code to be pushed into the repository and enable other members of the team to view the application code.

Understanding unit testing and debugging using the console log and command line.

Interests & Hobbies

Continue my professional development by developing websites in my spare time along with designing concept designs of websites by utilising usability techniques such as low and high fidelity prototypes. I also went to Rubyside which is an interest group for ruby and ruby on rails enthusiasts in Liverpool. The main discussion topic throughout was how web developers think content will be delivered and structured in the future to help shape and build a new open source project for the future on content on rails.
