• At first glance, this seems like a encouraging result: – 70 percent of folks purge

• The picture is less rosy when we look at how they purge:

– 36 percent purge in an ad hoc way, not on a regular basis • For records management compliance and to adhere

to the FRCP, purging can’t be anything less than systematic and regular, according to policy, etc.

– Looked at this way, 66 percent of firms reported purging practices that are out of compliance
