Rather than starting with a product and how you might sell it, or experience it, we started with a personalised need and thought about how to fullfill it and enhance it.The ‘Jubilee Greenway’ is a cycling path launched this year around London, in aid of a campaign “Towards a One Planet”, in which sustainability is neccessary in the production of London’s 2012 OlympicPark. From eco-friendly, portable bikes, to chic designer frames, we at Olympia have covered every spoke of the wheel to ensure you reduce your carbon footprint before the Games begin.

In the summer of 2012, the UK will come alive with the Olympic Games. We want to improve a quality of life and ensure a healthy and thriving natural environment.

As the most high profile event in the world, ‘the games’ gives us the chance to show how changes to the way we live, work and travel can help us live happy healthy lives with our planets resources.

The Natural Cycle

Climate change may result from both natural and hu-man causes. The importance of human causes has been

increasing during the past few dacades. Eco-friendly bicycles have been designed to

help reduce these factors.Bicycle dispensing machines are predicted to be

‘the next big thing’.

We’re in a recession!!Soaring petrol prices, and catastrophic

congestion charges is just what we need to get us in the saddle.

The government this year created the “cycle to work scheme”

in which employees can purchase bikes and equipment tax free, through companies.

Accross all lifestyle sectors, women increasingly rule. in the boardroom, in the bedroom, and in the way brands are created. Even business is becoming more female as the techniques and approaches once associated with women are now being embraced and employed by men. This isn’t about the fascination of culture, rather, it is about men and women alike learning to create oppertunities that are mutually profitable and more inkeeping with a world and a brand landscape that require the lifestyle industries to be more collaborative, creative and design driven in their way of talking to consumers.

This is womenomics as a philosophy, but also womenomics as a marketing oppertunity.

Page 13: Trendbook

The term Womenomics may sound problematic to some, but for those working in branding, marketing,

design, manufacturing and the corporate world, it is the new buzzword to grapple with!!

Page 14: Trendbook

Womenomics is about recognising the rising economic, social and cultural importance of women and acting on it.

As women take the lead, a new approach to design, retailing and advertising will be demanded!

Retro is a term used to describe, denote or classify culturally outdated or aged trends, modes, or fashions, from

the overall postmodern past, but have since that time become functionally or superficially the norm once again.

The use of "retro" style iconography and imagery interjected into post-modern art, advertising, mass media, etc. has

occurred from around the time of the industrial revolution to present day.
