How to Use Trello to Organize Everything

Trello is a visual collaboration tool that shows a holistic view of all

your projects.



Whether it be your professional project or personal task, Trello is

the perfect platform to organize all the details of your projects.

Then let’s explore what Trello has in

In your URL, type trello.com


http://trello.com


Click Sign Up - It’s Free to create an account



Input your name



Your email address



And password



Make sure to use a strong password to

ensure the security of your account!



Then click Create New Account!



Wait for the email confirmation to confirm your account subscription.



If you have a Google Account, click Sign

up with Google.



This next screen will appear.



Click Allow if you are okay with the permission

requirements.



Welcome to Trello! This is how your dashboard looks like.



First up, what is a board?



A board is a collection of cards ordered in a list of lists. This is used to manage a project,

track a task, or organize anything.



Let us try creating a board!



Click Create new board



Name your Board. The name should

describe the type of project that you will

be organizing.



Voila! Your new board will now be shown under My Boards.



Click the new board created



This is how your board looks like.



Let’s navigate the different functions that you can use in your board.



To add a list, enter a list name in the box below:



A list is usually the high level task that you need to track.



These are laid out horizontally whenever you add new lists.



Let us add details in each list.



To do this, click Add a card under the first list:



Enter the task that you need to be tracked under this list:



Click Add



You can add as much cards as possible under

one list.



Once you have listed all needed cards, just

click x.



For each card, you can do different options by clicking the pen icon

beside the card.



Here are the different options available for each card:



Edit Labels allows you to categorize your cards:



Assign colors to each card to categorize them according to your needs.



Change Members lets you to assign members who can view and edit the card:



Just enter the names of the members that you wish to be added:



Click MOVE to change the sequence/position of the cards:



Click Position to change the sequence of the card:



Or click List to move the card to another list:



You can also copy one card to a different List:



Just click List



And choose the List where you wish to copy this card to:



Or you can copy one card to another position:



Just click Position



And choose the Position where you wish to copy this card to:



You can also assign a DUE DATE for each card identified:



Pick a date to assign the due

date for the chosen card:



And assign a time for this due date:



Click SAVE when done.



Another way to see these options is by clicking each item:



These are the different options available in

each card:



You can add comments in the Add Comment

field.



Clicking Send will share this to the

different members of the board.



You can also add Attachments to your cards!



This can be all kinds of files (photos, documents,

etc)



To do this, click

Attachment



Choose the location of the file where you will source your file

from:



If you choose Computer, you will be redirected to your local folders:



Choose the file that you will attach to the card.



You can do the same steps to the different

cards under all your lists.



GREAT!!!



But are there still other functions of Trello that

you can utilize?



Let’s explore the following!



One. Click Add Members



Enter the email addresses of contacts you wish to be added

as member of your board:



Added members of your board will be able to see all lists and cards in your

board.



Two. Click Change

Background



Choose from the following

options:



The background is now changed to your chosen color:



Three. Click Filter Cards



This will allow you to show specific cards tagged to a specific label.



For this example, all cards tagged as green and those with No labels will be shown:



These are all cards under the labels chosen:



To show all cards under all labels, check all labels in the filter:



All cards are now shown:



Four. Click Power-Ups



These are the options

available under Power-Ups:



Click Enable to use each of

these features:



You will know that a power-up is enabled

if it has a check mark in the logo:



You will also see it as part of your dashboard:



Five. Click Stickers



Choose from the options to add

color and creativity to your boards!



Just drag a sticker to a card

to add it in:



Six. Click More



The following options are still

available for exploring!



Archived items will show cards that have been completed or archived already.



Your board will also have a

link!



This can be shared and viewed by members of the

board.



Trello also shows you your

activity list:
