T-206 Final Project Treatment for “Blogs Kill” A web blogger, MEGAN MCCARTHY, posts mini horror stories on her blog every week for a hobby. Her blogs become very prestigious and she has many devout followers. Everything is turning out perfect for this young and mysterious woman. Her friend, Jane, comes over and later calls about the first murder. Then a detective shows up to her house questioning her about her blog and the death of Jack. Then we see Megan walking to her real job, which is a cook at a prestigious Steakhouse in the center of the city the next day. Megan is the boss of the kitchen and enjoys bossing people around, and all her employees love her. We see Megan personally greeting her usual customers. Some people she meets are very rude and she does not forget them. We later witness a killing, which happened to be a rude customer from Megan’s work. We then see a montage that consists of all nine killings, Megan meeting someone named Frank, and of detective Mooney slowly piecing together the murders. The montage ends on the final murder, where the killer left behind their first clue. The clue brings the police to believe that the killer is Frank, Megan’s new boy friend. They bring in Megan once more to question. Megan tells the cops that there is a room in Frank’s basement that she was not allowed in. The cops find the last victim in that room. Frank is charged and sentenced to the death penalty. The two detectives are called to a murder scene. The two bodyguards on the scene tell the detectives that the assailant was a female. The cops are called to another location unknown to us and find a suicide; it’s a young woman. We are unaware of whose apartment it is but they find a dog crying in the corner with a bloody limb next to it. The scene flashbacks to, earlier that night. We now see Megan trying to write another horror story, but she cannot think of any ideas. Her conscious speaks and

implicitly tells her that she is no longer the same person she once was. Her mind is filled with guilt and confusion and the last thing we see is her computer is a story about a young girl that made the biggest mistake of her life and had to take her life because of it.
