Why have Permanent Make Up? Everyone wants to look the best they can, naturally. With Permanent Make Up you have the confidence of knowing you look the best you can look, right round the clock.

How long does it last? Permanent Make Up can last for several years but this is dependent on several factors including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. Whilst it is ‘low maintenance’ it is not ‘no maintenance’. Like hair colour it will need refreshing, but far less often.

Tracie Giles recommends a colour refresher treatment every twelve to eighteen months to maintain perfect results.

Is Permanent Make Up safe?Absolutely. All pigments are made of natural minerals that are specifically selected for their safe, non-toxic and hypoallergenic properties. They are trusted by technicians and cosmetic surgeons throughout the world. Ophthalmologists actually recommend eye procedures for women sensitive to conventional cosmetics and medical cosmetic tattooing is increasingly recommended by doctors for those suffering with the effects of breast cancer and alopecia.

What causes hair loss?There can be health or lifestyle factors that contribute to why people suffer from hair loss: chemotherapy, scars, alopecia, auto-immune disorder, thyroid problems, hormone imbalance, menopause, natural ageing, stress, reactions to medication, dietary, genetic, and vitamin deficiencies to name a few. By adding semi-permanent hair strokes amongst the natural hair, we can disguise the area.

Prices vary depending on the size of the balding patch and the number of treatments needed. After the initial treatment you will receive a free retouch, after 6 months a top up is then advised (priced at £200 per section) as colour can fade due to the oils in the scalp and frequent hair washing.

Paramedical / CorrectionalBREAST RECONSTRUCTION, ALOPECIA & CHEMOTHERAPY While Micropigmentation is most often known as a method of achieving fabulous brows, eyeliners and lip effects, there are a wide range of ‘cosmedic’ uses of Permanent Make Up too, namely to alleviate the hair-loss effect of chemotherapy and alopecia, restore the areola following breast surgery, to camouflage scars or to treat vitiligo.

Some clients want to darken a naturally light areola (area around the nipple). Permanent Make Up provides the perfect, natural looking solution and can also be applied following breast surgery to disguise the scars caused by some augmentation, reduction and uplift procedures as well as post-breast cancer.

We are also able to use the listed brow and eyeliner treatments to alleviate the effects of hair-loss experienced by clients suffering with alopecia and undergoing chemotherapy and restore a natural looking appearance. A doctor’s letter of permission will be required and clients will receive a 10% discount.

PERMANENT MAKE UP REMOVAL With Permanent Make Up being so widely available in the UK and with the industry being largely unregulated, we are increasingly seeing more and more clients coming to us for removal.

We use various different methods of Permanent Make Up removal depending on the skin type, area of the face, colour of the pigment / ink and depth of the placement. Tracie believes that there is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to the lightening or removal of unwanted pigment and will utilise whatever modality or method is judged to work the best for each individual case. Often several methods are used and spread over a period of time. This will be explained at the outset.

What are your options?A range of options may be used, including the finest products from all over the world such as Natural Saline Removal, Gentle Acidic or Alkaline Removal, sometimes with Micro-dermabrasion or Micro-Needling.

The skill is not just in selecting the correct product and perfect application of whichever removal system is used, but creating a Treatment Plan that’s flexible enough so that each client is treated according to how the skin and the pigment react to being removed. Sometimes it’s simply not possible to remove the pigment totally but you can be assured that you are giving yourself the very best chance of success because we have every proven method available. If we don’t stock it or use it, it’s generally because we do not feel confident of it’s removal abilities.

Often for clients at the age of 30, 40, 50 and 60, Tracie recommends that you bring along with you a close up facial photo taken 10-20 years ago so that a detailed analysis can be identified of each client’s extrinsic and intrinsic ageing pathway. During the consultation Tracie will discuss and assess your aspirations for areas of improvement and possible enhancements and you will leave with a summary of realistic expectations for each procedure or skin protocol.

VAMPIRE FACIALS The Vampire Facial (also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy) is a regenerative therapy, which uses nothing but the patients own blood to rejuvenate and resurface the skin, meaning it’s totally safe and natural.

Platelets are tiny blood cells which play a crucial part in helping the body stop bleeding - as well as repairing damaged blood vessels and cells. They release proteins for growth when they come into contact with the body’s tissue.

What’s the process? A needle is used to draw blood from the client’s arm. The blood is then spun in a machine, to remove the platelets. The plasma from the blood is extracted and microneedled into the client’s face using tiny acupuncture-style needles to rejuvenate the surface. What is a Vitamin B12 deficiency?Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in brain function and red blood cell production. Deficiency is common, especially in people who follow a vegetarian, vegan or special diet. In fact, it’s thought that up to 90% of people following these diets have a deficiency.

As well as those following strict diets, some individuals just don’t absorb the vitamin very well and will also be deficient. Unlike other vitamins, the absorption of Vitamin B12 depends on a protein produced in your stomach, called intrinsic factor. Intrinsic factor binds to Vitamin B12, so that you can absorb it into the blood. People who don’t produce enough intrinsic factor can become deficient.
