Write 1 travel writing to share personal experience on a vacation (descriptive)
Write 1 article about travel tips (informative)

All travel writings and articles uploaded to the blog must be able to provide readers with information about the type of holiday chosen.

Oral Presentation (Group presentation, but individual assessment – 5%) [11 Mar 2016]
Imagine your team represented a travel agency and you are trying to promote yourholiday packages (a specific type of holiday, e.g. beach vacations).
In your presentation, convince your clients (audience) with personal travelling experiences and give them some travel tips (informative and persuasive speech).
Even though it is a group presentation, you will be evaluated individually.

Travel writing: is personal, perhaps using first narration.
has a strong sense of the writer’s personality.
uses personal experiences and anecdotes (stories from experience).
can use bathos (over exaggeration for comic effect)
can use a noun phrase to describe (an adjective in front of a noun, for example ‘beautiful beach’).
is vivid: create clear pictures in the reader’s mind (the five senses).
has a bright, lively and fun tone.
can be colloquial (written in a chatty style, like the writer is having a conversation with the reader).
can use metaphors and similes to describe.
uses facts of places being described.
lists adjectives of threes for added impact (e.g.
