Tube Etiquette Do not look at anyone!

If God had wanted us to make eye contact on the Tube, then why did he give us the Evening Standard?

mandatory Do not eat on the tube If you have a backpack, take it off in rush hour and put it at

your feet (or everyone will hate you forever) Give up your seat for the pregnant, elderly, disabled etc. but

for no one else! Move down the carriage in rush hour (do not congregate near

the doors) Let people get off the tube before you get off – stand to the

SIDE Do not talk to ANYONE

LU Busking Scheme Buskers must obtain a licence in order to busk at the

LU stations Auditions are held for those who would like to perform

for commuters Buskers must be ‘talented professionals’ In 2013 (10th year of scheme) 250 performers

auditioned in front of 3 judges for 100 licences, in order to join the 350 buskers already performing on the LU

Busking at stations means a huge audience – 4.2 million passengers a day, with buskers performing up to 200 000 hours of music a year, making LU the largest music venue in the UK

Busking on the LU Do you think that buskers should be allowed to
