    various historical places to travel in South /sia

    !n south /sia also, Nepal is very much $amous place $or the

    historical tourist Tourism is the largest industry in Nepal, and the

    largest source o$ $oreign exchange and revenue 'ossessing eight

    o$ the ten highest mountains in the orld, Nepal is a hotspot

    destination $or mountaineers, rock climbers and people seeking

    adventure The 1indu and Buddhist heritage o$ Nepal and its cool

    eather are also strong attractions

    Nepal is divided into three geographical regions: 1imalayan

    Region, 1illy Region and Terai Region /mong these hilly region

    'ashupatinath is not only the holiest 1indu pilgrimage in Nepal but also one

    o$ the holiest destinations in the entire orld This temple that has been

    declared 2N"SC3 1eritage site has been erected and ra+ed to the ground

    numerous times There are lingam images o$ Shiva along ith statues and

    temples dedicated to other deities in the complex There is historical

    evidence that a temple dedicated to Shiva existed at this site in /. A

      !n the central sanctum o$ the temple lies the E $eet high Shivlinga

     The ma0or di-erence beteen this and other Shivlingas in !ndia is the $act

    /ll o$ these sites have their on importance They are thema0or sources o$ national income They have great culturaland historical importance !t has been proved a great tourism

    spot o$ Nepal as it is visited by thousands o$ $oreign visitorsevery year !t is a good source o$ income $or our government!$ such places are preserved, it can be a great treasure $or thenation The surrounding o$ these areas is densely populated

    that has adverse e-ect on the site So the government musttake some steps to control it (ocal people should be morecare$ul about the cleanliness o$ the surrounding 'eople mustbe aare about the cultural and historical importance

    But there e 8nd some o$ the problems $aced by these

    historical places !t has been very much di@cult $or the

    tourist to reach there as road is very narro So, proper

    management should be given in construct or development o$ 

    roads ?arious in$rastructure o$ development should be given

    more priority around these historical areas ;ide roads

    should be constructed so that guest could easily reach the

    destination ithout $acing any di@culties and obstacles

     These historical sites are greatly a-ected by the Baisakh 9 th

    massive earth6uake =ost o$ these sites o$ these historical

    places are not recovered They are in very much dangerous

    stage So government should $ocus more on theirreconstruction and their timely maintenance

    The tour was quite helpful to us to know about the Bhaktapur and its

    surrounding areas. Lastly, we had a lot of fun and the fun was a lot

    informative.
