About PDPUPandit Deendayal Petroleum University, established in 2007, is a research-led university in the vibrant city of Gandhinagar with a campus extending over 100 acres in the Educational Zone, PDPU corridor was established by an Act of Gujarat State Legislature. Rural andCivic Service Internship

The importance of Civic and Social responsibility, is paramount to success of democracy and promotion

in Civic Responsibility. Those values or duties include Justice, Freedom, Equality, Diversity, Authority, Privacy, Participation, Truth, Patriotism, Human Rights, Rule of Law, Tolerance, Mutual Assistance, Self-restraint and

Self-respect. School of Liberal Studies, under the aegis of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University

has introduced Civic and Social Services Internship as a training requirement

integral for first year students.

Research Projects

This is a mandatory feature of the SLS Program. Students need

to complete a research project worth six credits. This project is undertaken during the third and fourth year of the course. It involves selection of a topic that is interdisciplinary in nature but located with the academic domain

of the student’s major field of specialization.
