Integrated Waste Management Department Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program • A maximum of 15 gallons or 125 pounds may be transported per vehicle, per trip (Department of Transportation regulation). • Materials should be in original containers (except motor oil, fuels and antifreeze). • Containers larger than 5 gallons in size will not be accepted. • All containers must have lids, be sturdy, non-leaking, and labeled. • Protect all items from breakage. • Do not combine different types of waste. • Do not mix oil-base paint with latex paint. • Empty containers, with lids removed, can be discarded in trash. • Household hazardous waste containers will NOT be returned, except for used oil containers in good condition (if requested). • Personal information and data on computers should be removed or destroyed prior to disposal. A unique and FREE program that allows you to pickup partially used containers of household, yard, and car care products that others no lon- ger need (no electronics are offered).
