Betty Ford gArdensExplore and enjoy this stunning alpine garden situated high in the Rocky Mountains. In the shadow of Colorado’s Gore Range, the assortment of perennial beds, rock gardens and waterfalls dramatically display an astonishing array of the world’s most unique and beautiful high elevation plants. The Gardens, located in Ford Park, next to the Ford Amphitheater, are a 40-minute walk from the hotel, 15 minutes on the free in-town Vail bus, or take advantage of the Arrabelle’s complimentary shuttle service.

Biking - MountAin And roAdVail is a biker’s paradise in the summer time. Take a guided tour from the top of Vail Pass back to Lionshead or cruise the bike path along Gore Creek Recreation Trail through Vail Village. For adrenaline-loving mountain bikers, take the Eagle Bahn Gondola to the top of Vail Mountain and explore the labyrinth of downhill trails. Descents

Located on Meadow Drive in Vail Village, our Farmers’ Market is one of the largest in Colorado.

Close by are the Arkansas, Colorado and Eagle Rivers that offer everything from Class I float trips for the entire family to adventurous, thrilling Class V rapids. Join an experienced raft guide on a half- or full-day trip. All necessary training, equipment, and transportation are provided, ensuring an exciting journey for everyone.

ziP AdventuresSoar like an eagle over the amazing Alkali Canyon on six separate zip lines ranging in length from 150 to 1,000 feet, averaging 100-200 feet off the ground. The highly trained staff is dedicated to showing you the beautiful environment in a safe, eco-friendly way while educating you on the local flora, fauna and wildlife. Participants must be between 60 and 230lbs. Children of any age are welcome provided they are within the weight range and do not have a fear of heights.

Recommended Day TripsAsPenYou will ascend to 13,000 feet as you drive over scenic Independence Pass and down into the world famous historic town of Aspen. Aside from its many outdoor activities, Aspen is known for a wide variety of cultural events, great shopping and world class dining. On the way back to Vail, stop in Glenwood Springs.

glenwood sPringsTake a day trip to the Glenwood Springs Hot Springs Pool and Adventure Park. The hot springs were considered a sacred healing spot by the Ute Indians with 3.5 million gallons of hot mineral water being fed into the pool each day. It was “discovered” in 1890 and construction began building the largest hot springs pool in the world. Today the pool has two water slides and a therapy pool in addition to the 405-foot-long pool. At the Adventure Park, take a tour of Colorado’s largest Show Cave, race down their alpine coaster or soar in their giant canyon swing. While in Glenwood Springs, grab a drink at Doc Holiday’s bar and take the short hike to his grave site.

leAdvilleVisit the colorful historic town of Leadville located only an hour away. Take a tour of this historic mining town and stop by The National Mining Hall of Fame to get a feel for the life of a miner in the 1800’s. At 10,152 feet above sea level, Leadville is known for being the highest incorporated town in the United States.
