Can we build 30 years of projects in 10 years?
Yes, if we can get low cost financing!
The barrier is not planning, design, environmental review, or construction
time. The real barrier is cash flow.
Benefits of the 30-10 PlanBenefits of the 30-10 Plan• Reduced construction costs, perhaps $4 billion or
more in savings Could be used for interest payments, transit operating

Los Angeles Los Angeles TimesTimes 6/9/20106/9/2010Mayor Villaraigosa's 30/10 plan: Moving forward
“The 30/10 transit plan is the most important initiative ever
proposed by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. If, as seems
increasingly likely, it's embraced by Congress, it will become one
of the nation's most significant public infrastructure projects…In
fact, in a recent conversation with the mayor, President Obama
called the proposal "a template for the nation.“Tim Rutten
What is the Status of “30-10 Plan”
• Championed by Senator Barbara Boxer
• Endorsed by nearly all the LA County delegation to Congress
• Key parts embraced by the Obama Administration
