Reaching Your Potential An education

annual earnings among people 25 and older

who have earned associate degrees or

Financial Aid We are committed to providing

our students with assistance to explore all

available funding options. Each year, Suffolk

awards more than $63 million in federal and

state financial aid to more than 18,000

students.

Scholarships Suffolk also offers a broad

range of scholarships for incoming, existing

and graduating students. In fact, the Suffolk

Community College Foundation annually awards

more than $550,000 in student scholarships.

Suffolk is continually producing Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Academic Team members. What’s more, our students receive SUNY Chancellor’s Awards and other notable academic accolades each year.

Suffolk has joint admission agreements with a wide range of SUNY and private four-year colleges and universities.

Suffolk offers exciting co-op/internship programs so students can “test-drive” careers in a wide variety of environments, ranging from finance to healthcare to broadcasting and beyond.

Suffolk is home to more than 100,000 alumni – with the majority living and working right here on Long Island. This results in great networking possibilities when you are ready to start your career.

Suffolk was the first college in the country to have a digital planetarium offering state-of-the-art representations of the night sky. The College also has one of the largest observatory facilities on Long Island which is among the largest in New York State.

Athletic Excellence We compete at the intercollegiate level in baseball, basketball, bowling,cross country, equestrian, golf,lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and volleyball. We also offer dance, cheer and intramural sports programs.

STEM Success Ninety-four percent of Suffolk’s graduates from the National Science Foundation (NSF)scholarship program in Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM)have transferred to four-year institutions to continue their studies.STEM scholars intern at Stony BrookUniversity, Brookhaven National Laboratory and other nationally organized technology centers.

Incomparable Culinary Suffolk offers the only accredited culinary arts program on Long Island, and our Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center is widely recognized as the premier culinary instructional facility on Long Island.
