Advice your students can use
THE CREDIT-HOUR SYSTEM IN THE U.S.
THE CREDIT-HOUR SYSTEM IN THE U.S.
One class is three credits.
Students spend three hours per week in the classroom, but are expected to spend a significant amount of time studying outside of the classroom.
THE CREDIT-HOUR SYSTEM IN THE U.S.
3 credits per class
5 classes per semester
30 credits per year
PHILOSOPHY:
“A YEAR IS A YEAR”
THE CREDIT-HOUR SYSTEM IN THE U.S.
The Credit Ratio
Example:
If a student earned 146 credits at previous university in two years, the ratio would be:
60/146 = .41
Each course will be multiplied by .41
