 Chapter 1 

  Transcontinental railroad is a way of transportation .It made things a lot easier and faster.  Because you didn’t have to walk anymore. In 1862 the Transcontinental railroad was built. When they built the Transcontinental railroad they had to blast open caves .The biggest cave they blasted open was 1,659 feet long. They blasted 1 foot per day. Sure it sounds easy but it was not   they had to face very hard weathers and obstacles.      

Chapter 2 

The Transcontinental Railroad began to become a big hit. In fact, near 5,000 people did their share for building the railroad. They worked so hard they started to become like a military. Soon, everyone was riding the Transcontinental Railroad. The service for the train started on May 15th 1869 1st class was $100 2nd class was $75 and 3rd class was $40 which back then was a lot of money. The first robbery for the Transcontinental Railroad was on May 15th 1869. But even though the Transcontinental Railroad was a big hit there were pros and cons for the Railroad. When they were building it they had to kick the Native Americans off their land so it was hard for them because they had been on that land for centuries and they got food and water from that piece of land. So thousands died. 

The Transcontinental railroad has definitely made a huge impact in our life.      

   

         Chapter 3 

The Transcontinental railroad is truly a great thing in our lives. We would not have the things we have now if it wasn’t for the railroad. The people who made it said ‘’it hurts but I know I’m making history’’. The Transcontinental railroad also gave lots of homes to homesteaders as well. The people who made it was externally brave.
