fabulously, but will see that employees find it

worthwhile to take steps to make changes in

themselves.

Then it’s must that you are available to see and

appreciate, what such trainers do. Please note the

trainers are not giving standard things, matters but are

getting you exclusive expertise for specific problem.

So only, when you find it worthwhile, you need to

appreciate too, isn’t it?

But in reality what happens? You abscond due to

some other work, and funnily you are there at the end

for the vote of thanks! It’s like, one gentleman [ a

middle level management personality ] – did, in

insurance sector, when a trainer had all along insisted

for SMART work, instead of hard work; the

gentleman during final vote of thanks said, ‘Hard work is the only key to Success’ and became laughing stock!

Another Manager in other segment, went one step

further and said, “Sir you told so many good things,

most of them very useful to us, but he should have

added more for work related matters……” problem

was the manager was not available during firstday’s ‘first one and half’ to two hours and did not

know what was told to the colleagues, i.e. employees

of the firm! Infact it was exactly, what they wanted

on Ego and how it hampers productivity.

Truly speaking, owners , partners need to seat and

 judge the matters [ and many have told this trainer, it

was wonderful learning experience for them itself!],

also since they know, what is being told, they can

handle the people properly and get more out of such

guidance sessions. They give excuse saying, they

want to give freedom to employees to ask frankly

anything … very good [ but in reality, they keep

their CID !] . However only for 15 minutes or say,

half an hour, owners, or partners or Directors absence

will help for frank interaction. But the fact is rarelyemployees complain about top management or

owner or partner, they have more problems with

immediate boss, supervisor or manager or assistant

manager, who are very much in the training hall!

Some owner’s expect miracles to happen!

They expect smart work, focus, creativity, changes,

and team work from very next day! What did not

happen for so many years, how can it be expected

within few days? Further, no time is given to the

employees to follow up on these matters during office

hours! Trainer is a guide – who can give direction

to participants and they have to take efforts to

adapt the proven method/s, which can not be done,over night, but requires regular and continuous

efforts, atleast for three weeks, by every one, who

wants to do better at job – since so many other works

are dumped on the employee, it is impossible for him

or her to practice such new things regularly and in

continuity, so better give 20 minutes to half an hour’s

time for everyone to start the new habit. Please keep in

mind, a trainer – whether out sourced, highly

experienced, with abundant knowledge elderly personor an youngster are not magicians.

But many a times, this trainer had been informed that

employees have become more punctual, report in

time, do not take leave – as often- as was done

earlier. In-fact one organisation’s GM did tell this

trainer that, from very next day, he could see, change

for betterment, in the behaviour of worker’s leader!Who used to avoid the GM earlier, but from next day

of the session, respectfully he started saying “Good

morning, Sir”.

 

And here is one secret to obtain much more

from such trainers. Do not treat them as some

commodity sellers but respect them for their devotion,

the knowledge, the way they take matters to the mind

of your people and when you send them 4 line

appreciation letter or mail, you will gain far more in

long term. Because most of the trainers [ if not

everyone ] are dispensing knowledge and will be more

than pleased to share extra knowledge with your 

 people, during their next visit to your city / town, for no charges even! As, money is secondary for such

 personalities, and their passion is to make changes in

the lives of people for betterment… for job and

work. In reality they are Guru and deserve treatment

like a Guru, right?

she has gathered or from own experience; and all

comes to you totally without any charge and you do

not express gratitude! What do you expect from such

organisation, when head or owner is like that?

Why this happens? When you say something really

good about the official, he or she does not believe it or 

start thinking 'some other motive must be there!!'

Then neither you are able to build up relationship

nor gain further from such personalities. Many top

level CEOs, MDs, make every one respect them, by

 just half line reply, such as thanks and regards, thanksits worthwhile, thanks its useful etc. etc.

There is saying, “ in this Universe there

is only one corner, which you can

Change, and that is your own self”

So have guidance and improve your business,

your job, your life and make others

proud of you and help others to

improve their lives too.
