Direct setting of a parameter (QuickSet)
Set a therapy control value without confirming the setting. The changes to the setting will immediately become effective for the patient.
Direct setting of ventilation parameters can be performed in all ventilation modes.
Only the therapy controls O2 and Flow cannot be set directly. Apart from that it is applicable for all the other ventilation parameters.

Linked setting of two parameters: PEEP/Pinsp and RR/TiSet the two therapy controls PEEP and Pinspsimultaneously with the pressure difference (ΔP) remaining constant when adjusting eitherparameter.
Set the two therapy controls RR and Tisimultaneously with the I:E ratio remainingconstant when adjusting either parameter.

Night mode
When setting Evita V500 to the night mode an automatic changeover of the followingsettings will apply:
Color scheme of the screenVolume of the alarm toneAutomatic increase of the alarm tone is activated
The switch to night mode can either be doneautomatically (by configuring a certain time inSystem setup) or manually by pressing“Day/Night” (the “Day/Night” button has to beconfigured onto the main screen).

Freeze waveforms
For better analysis, the current graphs,waveforms, loops, trends may be stopped fora short amount of time
Prerequisite:
the “Freeze waveforms” button is configured onto the main menu bar
1.To freeze a graph: press “Freeze waveforms” at the desired time
2.Move the cursor by turning the rotary knob to analyze data at a certain point of time

Screenshots can be exported directly to aUSB storage medium.
Prerequisite:
the “Export screenshot” button is configured onto the main menu bar
1.Insert a USB memory stick into one of the USB ports of the Infinity C500
2.To export a screenshot: press “Export screenshot” button at the desired point of time
Only Dräger USB memory sticks are approved for usage with Infinity C500!

Activating StandbyThe V500 can be placed in “Standby” if temporary cessation of ventilation is desired (i.e. transport not utilizing the V500), and must be placed in “Standby” in order to change “Therapy Type” or “Patient Category”

1.Keep the “Audio paused” button and the rotary knob pressed for approx. 20 seconds
After approx. 10 seconds an alarm will appear2.Continue pressing the two buttonsAfter approx. 20 seconds the alarm message
resolves itself in preparation for calibration.

Even if the current alarm is silenced Evita V500will give an acoustic alarm if a alarm with ahigher priority occurs!
