• In June of 2004 joined forces with Milestone Equipment Corporation which broadens PAL’s resources and capabilities. Milestone is a full service leasing and asset management company for intermodal van trailers, domestic containers and chassis with a fleet of over 7,000 units. Milestone is headquartered in the San Francisco area with its operations center in Chicago, IL and is the second largest lessor of intermodal trailers in the United States.

• Milestone operates over 4000 dry van intermodal trailers for use in the US Intermodal rail network. With fleet operations based in Chicago the Milestone Intermodal trailer pool runs throughout North America. Customers include: Class 1 Railroads, Less-Than-Truckload Carriers, Intermodal Marketing Companies, private shippers, steamship operators, barge operators, and roll-on/roll-off shipping lines.
