To start with we the establishing shot is a car driving down an empty road with woods. This sets the scene and having it empty makes it seem a bit more frightening going with horror conventions. The first image is a image of old sign saying lake end in the road. Most horror films have a sign or writing on walls. We then get shots of the house and people having a normal life and the music is a piano making it quiet that goes well with it. Then it stops as something bad is about to happen to build up the tension. We get a shot of someone looking at the newspaper saying someone has been on a murderous rampage which links to the character that is with people. This attracts the audience as it wants you to keep watching to see what he is going to do, so you will want to watch the film. The screaming girl in the window tells us she is trapped by the murderous man. This makes us want to watch the film to find out what will happen to him. We get loud stings as it cuts to a black screen, which follows most horror trailers creating the unknown and is much more effective with the music. An underwater shot of her is usually done in horror films as you cant see far into the water and again makes the place unknown and scary. We then get text appearing in synchronized with the music. One of the text asks the audience a question which makes us feel more involved with the trailer. Shots are usually in dark

Places or in the woods linking with the location at the start. The shot of the house relates to the film title. It is also a low angle of the house to make it look powerful and scary with the rain in the foreground. It then builds up with shots of people screaming and running the we get a cut to the title of the film right near the end of the trailer so we remember the name of the film.. The music at this point doesn’t suit the horror conventions as it uses upbeat music but it goes very well with the screams and action. At very end of the trailer we get a man being tortures which goes with the horror conventions as there is knife marks with blood over his body, attracting the audience to come and watch this film.

The WolfmanThe start of the trail, we go straight to a establishing shot of a man in woods, this is to set the scene and starts it off scary and unknown. He then dies which is purposely placed so we don’t know what killed him, which uses horror conventions of the unknown. The next image is a shot of the a claw which relates to the name of the film but we do not see the rest of him making it scary, there is man in the background of this image who is running suggesting to us that the unknown claw is going to kill him but we don’t see this.. All of the wolfman parts of the trailer are all in the dark which is used in most horror films .The universal company logo comes up, this is so people may recognize company and relate to other good films they seen by them so they will watch this. Also the logo is designed so it fades out into the moon which relates to the trailer as the wolf come out at full moon. The music is quite mysterious showing the power of the moon. During the start of the trailer we get a man telling the story like a tale, which is usually used in many stories like this of the wolfman killing people.

It then sets the scene again in a mansion that is made old making it scary. It gives a story of a character being bitten by the wolf, making the audience want to find out what happens to him. The music starts to pick the pace up again as we get character being tortured and the animal running through the woods, trying to kill him. This makes more action in the film which people to watch this film. Towards end of the trailer we get the animal howling to the moon, so it uses the moon a lot relating to the stories of werewolf's which some people like and want to watch this trailer because of this. The title is near end of trailer so we remember what the title of the film is and the letter “o” is replaced by the moon. However the trailer doesn’t finish we get a final short clip of a women hiding from the wolfman which builds up the tension, and then a wolf noise just as it cuts.
