The following safety features are in place to ensure that deliveries of various items to the workplace is undertaken in a safe manner:

· Designated courier and/or delivery drop off points are located at:

· The Staff parking area closest to the general office

· Courier and/or delivery drop off points are clearly marked by:

· Painted spaces for Admin Vehicles only

· Worksite speed limits are set at (10 km/hr) with clearly displayed signage located at:

· The start of the Car traffic loop

· Speed controlling devices are in place to restrict vehicle speed on site:

· There are no speed controlling devices

· Other considerations that may need to be documented?

· The loops are only one way, but are not really labelled as such with only a few arrows pointing off the loop to alternate grass parking beside the hall.

· Sightline has been improved by removing trees obstructing the view of students stepping onto the road.

Safe passage of vehicles in Warracknabeal Secondary College (large vehicles, buses, 4WD, mobile plant etc)

The following safety arrangements and features are in place when large vehicles or mobile plant such as tractors, fork lifts or ride on mowers are required to move around the worksite:

· Vehicles are not allowed to move around the Warracknabeal Secondary College during the following time periods of peak pedestrian traffic:

· 8:00-9:30 and 3:00 to 4:00

· Prior to entering Warracknabeal Secondary College , drivers of large vehicles must report to Julie Powell, Principal at Warracknabeal Secondary College, to arrange for a member of staff to act as a “spotter” to supervise vehicle movements whilst on site;

· Fork lifts are only to be used in clearly marked areas as designated on the site map; and

· Worksite speed limits are set at (5 km/hr) with clearly displayed signage located at:

· Any Construction areas (of which there are none)

· Other considerations or risk controls that may need to be documented?

· Make better indication of Speed with Signage and direct traffic to use the correct Exit better

Parking arrangements

The following safety arrangements and features are in place to minimise the risks associated with vehicle parking:

· There are 19 car parks available for employees, 7 car parks available for visitors and 6 car parks available for students with disabilities and admin staff.

· Car parking areas are clearly designated with marked parking bays and signage displayed in the following areas:

· 7 marked parking Spaces with No parking and No Standing signage just at the entrance of the Car Loop.

· 19 Staff Car parks indicated by Yellow Curb marking and painted spaces closest to the Hall

· 6 Marked Spaces for Admin with Red Curb markings closest to the Admin Building and Reception, there are usually only 4 admin staff this leaves two spaces for Couriers and the Disabled

· Signage identifying the whereabouts of the Office/Reception is clearly visible from the car park and is located at:

· Wall on the Hall side of the Car Park

· Other considerations or risk controls that may need to be documented?

· There is a Pedestrian only pathway weaving through the carpark, this is not signed but is painted on the ground

Special Events (e.g. Fetes, Sporting Events etc)

Traffic control requirements for special events may vary. Specific control measures will need to be determined through a risk assessment process taking into consideration learning’s from previous special events.

The following broad safety arrangements and features are in place to minimise the risks associated with special events in conjunction with previously documented control measures:

· Appropriate numbers of traffic controllers will be in place for all special events to restrict/direct traffic to and from the workplace;

· Additional car parking areas are clearly designated with marked parking bays and signage displayed in the following areas:

· Arrows are located on the Car loop directing to an alternate Parking area beside the hall.

· Other considerations or risk controls that need to be documented:
