July 9 - July 10 Music in the Valley Folk Music & Wine Festival, presented in partnership with Folknet, the Barking Spider Tavern, and The Wine Buzz is an opportunity to enjoy musicians playing banjos, guitars, and fiddles throughout the Hale Farm grounds. Guests are welcome to stop and listen to the jams, and can enjoy tasting wines from a select number of Ohio based wineries. Participating wineries include:

This year’s event is expanding with later hours, a larger tented area, more food vendors and wineries and a wine and cheese pairing seminar sponsored by the Wine Buzz magazine. In addition to the casual performances throughout the day, Hale Farm has scheduled performers on a wine festival stage. All regular museum exhibits and demonstrations are open to the public during the festival. Hale Farm & Village showcases 90 acres of historic structures, farm animals, gardens and early American craft and trade demonstrations, including glassblowing, blacksmithing, broom-making and weaving; guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. 10am-7pm Saturday and Sunday, $10 adults, $5 youth ages 3-12; wine tastings (age 21 and over) are $10 for a glass and 5 tickets for one tasting each.
