Box 2121 Castro Valley, CA 94546-0121 [email protected] Traditional Mass & Sacraments This is the fifteenth year in which we have offered the Traditional Latin Mass of the Roman Rite on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and Holydays, at the Fishermen’s & Seamen’s Memorial Chapel, making the pre-Vatican II Mass available to the entire Bay Area. Over these years we have received 19,554 Mass visits and continue to welcome newcomers. Traditional Music Our St. John Schola is known as a leader in the movement to aug- ment the use of Gregorian chant at the Traditional Latin Mass and Divine Office. We continue to chant the Hour of Terce of the Divine Office in the traditional Roman rite at 9:30 a.m. before every Sunday Mass. We have begun a program of chanting a Missa Cantata every 4-6 weeks. Holy Week and Easter 2007 We invite you to walk with Christ during this most sacred week of the year by joining us for our chanted Solemn Rites of Holy Week and Easter, the only such fully traditional (pre-Vatican II) Catholic rites offered in the Bay Area, together with the ancient chant of the Church.
