1995 to 1998, he was in charge of derivatives trading
at Deutsche Bank S.A. in Madrid, and afterwards he

management of trading systems and technical analysis
in the equity domain. As an author and speaker, he gave

Commentary) on the day’s events in the markets.

Uwe Wagner draws on 25 years of experience from his
successful work at the Eurex and MEFF exchanges. With
an unprecedented clarity, he discusses, among others,
topics such as the best method of learning for practical
use in the trade. He presents the products that are traded
in the futures market in an easy-to-understand way, and
highlights “tracking” and the correct interpretation of
the activities of dominant market players. Wagner also
provides the basic structure for trading approaches,
which he himself actively uses in the market to date.
The discourse is rounded o* with advice on coping with
losses or di+culties in switching from virtual trading to
real-money trading. The author explains the practical
steps to prepare for a trading day and how to finish the
day by keeping a trading diary. In addition, the reader will
find in this book plenty of ideas and explanations around
trading, reports from the author’s own experience in his
long professional life, with all its ups and downs.
This book shows not only how everyone can
significantly increase his or her chances and supplement
their income or even earn a living with successful
trading; it also provides an excellent preparation for the

SINCE THE OUTBREAK OF THE FINANCIAL CRISIS, the financial markets seem to have become ever more unpredictable. Although market drops of 30 per cent
or more are not the order of the day, fluctuations in the stock markets are constantly increasing. In such an
environment any complex set of rules will fail, because it is not su#ciently flexible.
Birger Schäfermeier discusses the most important principles in order to continue to be successful as a trader
in an ever-changing market environment. How does an experienced trader deal with fear, panic or euphoria?
How can he or she take better decisions under time pressure and deal with worst-case scenarios? How does a
trader cope with di#cult situations while constantly improving his or her trading?
Einfach Traden (Easy Trading) provides a roadmap of the most important principles to be successful in a variety
of market environments.

PATTERNS, OR CHART PATTERNS, have a permanent place in technical analysis. Traders can use them as an instrument in both rising and falling markets to better under-
stand the market and thus trade more e*ectively.
As active traders and technical analysts, Karin Roller and Daniel Schütz know what’s important in pattern
trading. They explain not only the theory but also show how trader patterns can become a profitable
component of daily trading. In this, the first introductory guide to chart patterns in the German language,
they explain what successful traders need to know about patterns.
INVESTORS HAVE LONG SPURNED the biotechnology sector. Yet the health sector is experiencing a boom in the stock market. Prospects are excellent, because in addition to
innovative medicines and record profits made by the pharmaceutical giants, major product approvals as well
as promising clinical reports promise strong growth.
Prof. Dr Jürgen Hannemann, from the Institute for Applied Biotechnology, and Beate Sander show how
investors can benefit from the enormous untapped potential of the industry and what asset classes are best
suited in each case.
