NEW BRITISH AIRWAYS - AIR BERLIN CODESHARES (BA*AB) The British Airways code has now been added to Air Berlin’s services between Berlin (TXL) and Gdansk (GDN), which is Poland’s largest port and a major industrial centre situated in the north of the country on the Baltic Sea coast. Jackie Clark, Trade Sales Manager a NEW AIRCRAFT SEAT CONFIGURATIONS REVEALED Two hundred and fourteen customers will enjoy the comforts of the new British Airways Dreamliner and the A380 will be the largest aircraft in the British Airways fleet, with 469 customers. The 24 Dreamliners and 12 A380s will feature the elegant cabin designs fitted on British Airways’ new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which have proved hugely popular with customers. British Airways is set to be the first European airline to operate both new aircraft types, with its first Dreamliner arriving in May and A380 deliveries starting in July. The British Airways Dreamliner will have 35 seats for customers in the new Club World triple configuration of 2:3:2; 25 seats in a World Traveller Plus layout of 2:3:2; and a further 154 seats for those travelling in World Traveller, with a 3:3:3 configuration. On the British Airways A380 there will be 14 seats in First on the main deck, with extra personal and stowage space; the Club World cabin will feature 44 seats in a 2:4:2 configuration; and there will be 199 seats in World Traveller, with a 3:4:3 layout. The A380 upper deck will feature 53 seats in the new Club World triple configuration of 2:3:2; 55 seats in a 2:3:2 World Traveller Plus layout; and World Traveller will have 104 seats in a 2:4:2 configuration. Both new aircraft will also feature the airline’s latest Thales in-flight entertainment system, which offers customers 50 per cent more movies, 200 per cent more TV shows and 200 per cent more audio programmes and music. Customers will also benefit from new larger screens in all cabins and an easier to use system with shortcut buttons. They will also be able to connect personal devices, such as laptops and use the in-seat power available for the first time in all cabins. NEW AIRCRAFT SEAT CONFIGURATIONS REVEALED

MORE TIME TO WATCH INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT (IFE) British Airways has become the first UK airline to enable customers to watch their in-flight entertainment screens from the second they reach their seat to the moment they arrive at their destination.

From 1 December, British Airways customers will be able to spend even more time – up to an hour more – enjoying movies, top TV shows and a wide selection of music onboard the airline’s flights.

NEW BRITISH AIRWAYS - LOGANAIR CODESHARE British Airways will codeshare with Loganair on their route between Dublin (DUB) and Donegal (CFN). The flights are operated by Loganair for Flybe. Flights are sold on a connecting basis to British Airways’ London Heathrow (LHR) to Dublin services. Loganair flights with British Airways’ code will operate twice daily between Dublin Terminal 1 and Donegal. The minimum connecting time at Dublin (DUB) is 45 minutes. Carry-on baggage is restricted to 6kg. Check-in baggage is restricted to 1 x 23kg for these flights.

NEW BA ROUTE TO CHENGDU IN CHINA British Airways will begin flying to Chengdu (CTU) in China from 22nd September 2013.

• Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province in Southwest China and will become BA’s 3rd destination in mainland China

• BA will operate 3 x weekly LHR-CTU on Tue, Thu and Sun, using a 4 cabin B777-200ER

• Flights are now available for sale

Chengdu is the major city of a fast growing region of 87 million people, with a USD340 billion economy based on agriculture, heavy industry, car manufacture, aerospace and defence.

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is located approx 16kms (10miles) southwest of the city centre, it is linked to downtown by Expressway and several airport buses ply to different parts of the city. BA will operate from Terminal 1, together with oneworld affiliate, Dragonair and oneworld designate, Qatar Airways. It is the 5th busiest passenger and cargo airport in mainland China, handling aprroximately 30 million passengers per year.

Tourism is well established in Sichuan with panda visits at the Bifeng Gorge Panda Research Center, tours of the mountainous region on the Tibetan border, the dinosaur museum of Zigong and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mount Emei where the giant Buddha of Leshan is located.

MORE FLIGHTS TO MEXICO FOR SUMMER 2013British Airways will be adding a Tuesday departure between Heathrow and Mexico City for Summer 2013, increasing our frequency from four to five flights per week.
