Section 1 – Log in to your account
To use and manage the messages from your satellite device, please login to our
message portal at www.trackmepro.com -
Click on this link in the Home page, or use the sign-in at the top right of the
page
Section 2 – Managing your Devices
Once logged in as an Agency Manager (Company Admin) or Managed By
(Team Leader or User) you will see this menu at the top of your screen. Select
Devices from the menu.

You are now in the main management window and you can use your
navigation keys to switch in and out of each device.
Tip – use the CTRL key when clicking on a link and you will keep your selection in the main window.
Refresh this page when you have made changes to devices to reflect the values.
The following icons are displayed beside each device.
• Setup – (Pencil icon) this is where you go to see the message delivery settings and
they can be edited (see section 3).
• Messages – (Envelope icon) here you can review the messages processed over a
customised period, last 24 hours done by default (See Section 4).

• Details – (Contact Card Icon) to review access, rename device, set tracking page,
time zone and allow others to access your device (Agency Manager only) (See
Section 5).
• Latest – (Position Pin) This is the best place to see the latest locations for your
device on a Satellite Map (See Section 6).
• Send – (Speech Bubble) Only available for inReach devices (See Section 7).
You can filter by each column by selecting the
Filter icon and a menu will display
Here I am filtering the User column by
Contains and Tony.
You can choose Equals, Contains, Starts with,
or Ends with as options to filter data.
Then enter the data you want to match.
To clear the filter, select the filter and click
Clear filter as in the second example.
Section 3 - Messaging Setup
Click the pencil icon of the device you want to check the message setup for,

Here is the setup for my G3 messenger 0-2811096
If you are an Agency Manager the option to load a message template file shows up at the
top of the page. This function replaces the SPOTNZ Uploader previously used by USB drive.
Select the file and Load message file. You can only load and adjust devices you have access
to. If you are unfamiliar with these files we suggest you get support from SPOTNZ before
using this feature.
You can see the Tracking page link, date updated, Time zone and contacts list. This is the
view page that emergency services access when you set off the HELP or SOS message.

The left side of the panel shows the
contacts that are loaded from the message
template. We don’t allow editing in this
panel as it could affect the delivery of
Emergency messages.
Rescue – Emergency Response Centre
Police – used when Police are included in
response
Safety Contacts – these are the 3 main
safety contacts from the Message template
Emergency – this contact is the first one
called in the event of an emergency and
should be Next of Kin or Company Manager
Event Contact – Manager or user of device
if access is being granted for editing.
SPOT – SPOTNZ/TrackMe Account Manager
The Individual Messages are listed under the tabs below the Contact page,
each tab can be collapsed and stacked as shown.

Section 3a - Editing Single messages
The ability to edit single messages online is limited to OK, CUSTOM, HELP and
SOS messages (the ability to turn off Emergency Agency delivery can only be
handled by a TrackMe Administrator).
To edit an OK, CUSTOM or HELP message and recipients.
Select the message to edit and select the Green Edit Icon.

The fields are now editable
IMPORTANT: Don’t adjust the valid time or your message delivery may be
interrupted.
If adding an email, ensure they are separated by a comma.
To add a cell number for text message delivery also ensure you add in the
correct format with a comma separation and +642XXXXXXX for NZ numbers or
+614XXXXXXX for Australian numbers.
Delivery to other countries by text is currently not supported but will be added
in the future.
You can save as you go and then use Update and Exit to return to the previous
screen. You can review your changes in the Setup screen.

Section 4 – Message History
Select the Envelope icon
This will take you to the Message retrieval page
Select the time period you want to see messages for the device.
Note: for performance the messages are cached for 5 minutes and if you want
to select a different device within this time you need to logout first (the default
Retrieve Message setting is the last 24 hours).

Select Retrieve Messages to see the default period (last 24 hours)
Messages are listed as processed, second and subsequent pages can be
viewed by using the selector on the bottom left of the page.
Section 5 – Edit Device Details
Access the Details page with the Contact Card icon

Here is the setup page for my G3 Messenger device. All fields are editable
except the Device id and event name when in Agency Manager mode.
Device Setup explained –
• Device ID – ESN or IMEI number is loaded when TrackMe registers the
device.
• Type of Device – Currently devices are
• SPOT (Gen 2, 3, Trace or SMART 1C)
• inReach (DELORME 1.5, SE or Explorer & GARMIN SE,
Explorer & Mini)
• Iridium (SBD Iridium Modems on raw data plans)
• Agency Manager – can edit details, load message template file, and add
extra access for Manager Emails.

• Manager Emails – assigned logins for access to devices. Can only edit
device name, user name, user phone and Emergency text. Can edit
individual messages and recipients.
• Device Name – Unique identifiable name for organisation in sorting
devices.
• User Name – User of device, loaded initially from registration sheet.
• Phone Number – User phone number, used by profiles to warn of missed
check in and Response centre in checking after HELP and SOS messages.
(by default is loaded as event contact number)
• Notes – Used to warn of medical conditions for first responders and
Emergency services, can also be helpful for HELP message, AA
Membership, International Insurance details for rescue etc. Can be also
used for intention notes when accessing back country walks.
• Event Name – Set when uploading devices, non-editable from this form.
Can be changed from upload message template.
• Tracking Page link – uses to deliver to messages and Emergency services
for current locations.
• Time Zone – set from message Template by default is New Zealand
Standard Time.
Section 6 – Mapping Latest Locations
Access mapping with the Pin Locator icon
On this page you can access Mapping for specific message delivery or all
tracking in a set time period* (*to be added at a later date).

Only available data for each device is displayed as an option on the left-hand
side. If an SOS or Custom message has not been sent the option will not be
available. Select the location message you want, and a pin is dropped for each
one selected, here I have selected the most recent location. Device data is
stored in our servers for at least 24 months. Google map options are available
including zoom. (Selectable data range will be added shortly.)
Section 7 – Send to a Satellite Device
This is currently only available for inReach devices.

You can only send messages to a device you have access to, if you are replying
to a message via the permanent link to a device the device id will be filled in
and you will need to add your email address or ISD cell number.
Email addresses or cellular numbers can be inserted into the top row, cell
numbers must conform to the ISD format +642XXXXXXXXX. A maximum of 140
Characters including the from address can be delivered. Delivery to Multiple
devices can be entered with comma separation.

Select Send and a confirmation message will show up, if you select Send again
then another message will be sent. Every message is using 3 blocks of data
from the data plan for this device.
