Thank you, Dallas Barker family (pd) Junction News By Kathy Bolin July 23--Greetings from the Junction. Summer is almost over for me and the kids of Morgan County. School will be starting up early part of August. I have enjoyed the time off and was able to spend much needed time with family and friends. East Valley School has lost some “oldies, but goodies” in their staff. Avanell Adams and Carolyn Bishop have both re- tired this year. I can’t begin to tell you how much Carolyn had did for our community thru the Family Resource Center. This was her community and her friends and she always went up and beyond to find the services and needs to provide for those who were going through diffi- cult times or needed additional help. She will be sadly missed by staff and our community. East Valley seems like my home. I started working there in 1996 when we first moved to Kentucky. I had the opportu- nity to work with all these fine people every day for years. So they become as family. I wish Carolyn, Avanell, and Dennis Ball, (he, too, is retiring this year) a blissful retirement full of joy and rest. And Tommy Potter has taken superintendent job in Elliott County. I congratulate you on your new job and much success. Condolences to Robert Tol- son, in the death of his son, Robert. Funeral services were on Sunday, July 22, at Herald and Stewart and Halsey. Burial was in the Davis Cemetery, Grassy Creek, Ky. Congratulations to Mary Beth Harmon, who has won a scholarship from Cox Foods. Mary Beth is the daughter of Wesley and Kim Harmon, and will be a senior at Morehead this semester. Housewarming wishes to Mike and Pam Vest. They have moved to new home on Dead- man Branch. Also, Sylvia Bur- chett, Pam’s mom is staying with them. Birthdays-- July 31 Mike Cantrell Bonny By Fay Ferguson July 18--A big hello to every- one and get well wishes to all. Mr. Sam Caudill underwent knee surgery this week. He’s in a lot of pain. Everyone say a prayer for him. Also Mr. Dorman Nipper is still on the sick list, also Mr. Jack Flannery. Get well wishes to you all. Virgil and I havent’ been feeling well. I guess the heat has a lot to do with it. To all that’s lost a loved one, you have our prayers and sympathy. Our son, Brian Ferguson, visited Willard Speedway, in Grayson, Saturday night, where he finished second in heat race and third in feature. Brian drives 4 cylinder stock Mustang. Con- gratulations, Brian. Like to say hello to my family in Indiana, Mr. Gerald Nipper, also to my family in Ohio. My niece, Mrs. Connie Bak- er, in Ohio, is on the sick list. Get well wishes to her. Like to say hi to the Danny and Mary Jones family. Hope you all are o.k. I have you in my prayers. Gail Ferguson, Cathy Cau- dill, Sandy Ferguson, Chelsea, Kaylee and Alex, Daniel Bates, Kelly Barnett, Jacob Endicott, Janet Keeton, Randy King, Deanna Keeton all enjoyed their Fourth of July trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They also enjoyed the parade in Gatlin- burg. Had a great time! Everyone try to stay in and stay cool. Until next time, I’ll leave you with this thought... If God be for us, who can be against us?

Junction News

By Kathy BolinJuly 23--Greetings from the

Junction.Summer is almost over for

me and the kids of Morgan County. School will be starting up early part of August. I have enjoyed the time off and was able to spend much needed time with family and friends.

East Valley School has lost some “oldies, but goodies” in their staff. Avanell Adams and Carolyn Bishop have both re-tired this year. I can’t begin to tell you how much Carolyn had did for our community thru the Family Resource Center. This was her community and her friends and she always went up and beyond to find the services and needs to provide for those who were going through diffi-cult times or needed additional help. She will be sadly missed by staff and our community.

East Valley seems like my home. I started working there in 1996 when we first moved to Kentucky. I had the opportu-

nity to work with all these fine people every day for years. So they become as family. I wish Carolyn, Avanell, and Dennis Ball, (he, too, is retiring this year) a blissful retirement full of joy and rest.

And Tommy Potter has taken superintendent job in Elliott County. I congratulate you on your new job and much success.

Condolences to Robert Tol-son, in the death of his son, Robert.

They have moved to new home on Dead-man Branch. Also, Sylvia Bur-chett, Pam’s mom is staying with them.
