Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator Module Installation Instructions

Toyota Tundra & Sequoia This installation manual shows an example installation on Toyota Tundra & Sequoia vehicles. The installation may vary for your vehicle, so it may be necessary to consult the service manual for your year model. Be advised: These instructions may not include specifics for all vehicle configurations. Tools Needed: 10mm nut driver or socket, and Trim Removal Tools (Optional) 1a. This step makes sure that the programmer has the latest firmware installed. If Tuner Update Software is not already installed on your PC, go to our website and download the update software. Connect the Speedometer Calibrator to your PC with the supplied USB cable, run the update software and click the Update Tuner button. You may be prompted to select the correct configuration file for your vehicle.

1b. Once configuration is complete, connect the Speedometer Calibrator module to the harness and take it to the vehicle.



2. Set Parking brake and lower steering wheel to lowest setting. 3. On the Driver’s side, remove the floor and side kick panels.

4. Using a 10mm tool, remove the bolts from the lower IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) trim bezel.



5. Starting on the left hand side, gently separate the lower IPC trim bezel from the dash and lower it to the floorboard.

6. Please read all the subordinate of this section before proceeding. 6a. Starting on the left hand side and working your way around, gently separate the upper IPC trim bezel from the dash. Do not remove the bezel at this point.



6b. While peering behind the upper IPC panel bezel, you will need to disconnect two connectors. Note: To prevent breaking the connectors, DO NOT rock the connector back and forth. Squeeze the release and pull straight out. Left Side Right Side

6c. Between the steering column and the bezel, notice there is a curtain. This curtain is held in place by a plastic piece.



6d. Utilizing the openings in the bezel, use your fingers to press the locking mechanisms to release the curtain from the bezel.

7. Utilizing a 10mm tool, remove the retaining bolts from the IPC. Pull the unit forward and disconnect it from the harness.



8. Connect the male end of the Speedometer Calibrator Harness to the factory wiring harness.

9. Connect the female end of the Speedometer Calibrator Harness into the Instrument Cluster.

10. Reverse the removal process to install the Instrument Cluster 11. Start Vehicle and check for any warning signs or messages. 12. Test drive vehicle to ensure proper Speedometer function. 13. Enjoy the drive!
