Case study – 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ Launch converted into a contest, #AtoZdressedupme LCmediaHouse

The innovative game named 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ created by ToyKraft, based on the book by FunOkPlease, was launched at Landmark, Andheri (W) on the 15th of March 2014. This launch campaign was done over Facebook and soon after its launch, the campaign was transformed into a contest named 'AtoZdressedupme.' The contest was run on Facebook not only for a lighthearted interaction with the contestants but also to give them a glimpse of what the game, A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle, is really all about! This contest took off on ToyKraft's Facebook page on 26th March, ending on the 2nd April 2014, with the revelation of the contest winner names.

The game 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ created by ToyKraft in association with FunOkPlease was all set for its grand launch at Landmark, Infinity mall, Andheri (W) on the 15th March 2014.

For this occasion, we started our launch awareness campaign. This campaign was initiated on ToyKraft’s Facebook page. The first step we undertook, was change the Facebook cover photo of the page.

Soon after, on the same day, i.e. 13th March 2014, we created an event on Facebook, named ‘A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle Game Launch Event,’ inviting our friends for the same.

We began using the characters of the puzzle game, to promote the launch event, for which we further used a comic strip theme..

We received a great response for the event through Facebook and the same was seen at the actual launch when it was being held at Landmark, Infinity mall, Andheri (W) on the 15th March 2014.

The ‘A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle Game Launch Event’ was a massive success..

This campaign began on the 13th of March 2014 and the launch of the product took off on 15th March 2014.

Then, we decided to convert this successful launch into a memorable contest, that all our friends and followers could recognize our brand, and our product 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ by!

The grand launch of 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ from ToyKraft in association with FunOkPlease saw an overwhelming response. So, in continuation with the launch we decided to further promote the much sought after game in the form of a contest!

We not only wanted to have an entertaining contest but we also wanted the contestants to form an emotional connect with the brand. We wanted them to connect with the core of 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ and so the contest asked it’s participants to post childhood pictures of themselves or their children, dressed up in fancy attires!

And so, we began our dressing up contest …

… named #AtoZdressedupme …! Teasers were sent across, letting participants know that a contest was coming up and that the winner would receive a gift hamper worth Rupees- 1000!

You could easily say that the main objective behind this contest was to share some light moments with our beloved friends as they took a stroll down the memory lanes with us!

Once the details and the other important points about #AtoZdressedupme contest was sent out, there was an instant buzz on the ToyKraft Facebook page! Not only were there amazing responses but some of the entries where actually clicked off of old photo albums!

This contest simply got more interesting as the days passed by.. we saw ourselves looking at the pictures of cute little philosophers, presidents and even a very charming ‘Bhaajiwala!‘

But this was just the beginning of the contest and many more entries were still pouring in…

Throughout the contest we sent out many encouraging posts asking prospective contestants to send in their entries in the form of posts! The characters we used to promote this contest were from the game 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle’ in the lovable form of comic strips. We put up a new post amidst the usual reminders, thanking our contestants for their entries , who had participated in #AtoZdressedupme contest till then.

We then continued with the reminder posts asking contestants to keep posting in their entries! Again ,all the characters we used to promote the contest as posts where from the game 'A to Z Fancy Dress Puzzle.’

The engagement between the contestants and the brand was amazing, getting warmer and stronger as the days passed by…

We sent across a cute comic patterned post as a reminder indirectly asking the page’s friends, if they have participated yet..

On the evening of 31st March a status was put up on the page, stating that the contest was ending at midnight and that the winners name will be announced in a day or two…

Soon after, on the 1st of April, a new cover photo comprising of some of the entries of participants was put up on the ToyKraft page…

#AtoZdressedupme contest began on the 26th of March 2014, and ran its course till 31st March. The name of the winners were declared on

2nd April 2014.
