Safety tips

At TOYCITY our focus is Play. Children naturally like to play and are

more drawn to active play outdoors. The outdoors pronounce freedom

and space. Playing outdoors is a form of exercise that promotes well-

being and wholesome physical development. It allows children to

explore their environment, develop muscle strength, coordination and

gain self confidence. Playing actively outdoors also increases flexibility

and motor skills.

Playing outdoors gets the children some sunshine ,fresh air and

excitement with school mates, friends and neighbors.

A guide to catalogue use:pages 1 to 13 are Little Tikes outdoor range manufactured specifically forthe little ones. The product pictures carry the recommended age use;maximum of which is 10 year old.pages 14 to 24 are commercial grade products, made basically of steel for

tough playgrounds. All of these require concrete anchors into the

playground. Maximum age use is 15 years.

Safety tipsü Children must always have adult supervision on the

safety and the safety and happiness of their playmates.

ü Always use age appropriate play equipment

ü All swings must be installed on impact absorbing surfaces.

ü When climbing

o use both handgrips

o move in the same direction

o stay some distance behind the person in front

o avoid speed contests

ü When sliding

o hold the rails with both hands

o do not go up the sliding surface or frame

o slide down feet first, one at a time

o keep some space in between each other

ü When swinging

o use safety strap on swing seat if under 3 years

o do not stand on the swing seat

o hold swing chains with both hands all the way

o never jump of the swing

ü All playground areas must be kept free of debris, falling
