Josiah Chowning Tavern , one of the many taverns lining Duke of Gloucester Street, the main street of Williamsburg. It is a lively place to meet up for dinner or for gambols, a sort of after-dinner entertainment.

The Governor’s Palace is off a primary route from Duke of Gloucester Street. The governor is loyal to the England, and boasts the crest of the monarch. Behind the palace, there is an extensive garden, and even a maze.

Bruton Parish Church is the primary church of Williamsburg. This Anglican church is the state church in England and in Virigina. It iss the most practiced religion of the British colonists.

The College of William and Mary was founded in 1693, and has produced many famous graduates, such as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. If you lived in town, you could attend the college to further improve your studies.
